Just wanted to drop by and say well done on the windfall. Think I saw some of the pieces in the paper last week , there was a teapot that went for about £80k. Glad that they gave you a little to mooch over!

I know which one you mean, it acually went for well over 1 million, some of the pieces had a reserve of 2k and went for over 100k, crazy.
Manic house tidying today, will try and catch on some diaries later in the day.:)MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
 I'm celebrating today, I've just made June's op early and am now under £150K !
Its 3 days to my first years anniversary, so figures for the year are:
May2010................................. may2011
Mortgage.. £160,936................... £149,994
O% CC .... £ 10,467......................£ 6,934
Totals...... £171,403...................... £156,928
So we have paid a total of £14,475 off this year, plus spent just under £5,000 on a log cabin and a yet to be fitted bathroom.
I'm really pleased with how much it has gone down by although would like to do much better in the next year. The rest of this year will be focused on clearing the o% CC completly so I can really get going on the mortgage at the start of 2012.
It has really been fun so far , although has taken over my life somewhat, and reading everyones diaries has kept the interest up and stopped me going back to spending like I used to.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Hi NG
Did you go with the One Account in the end? What are your thoughts on it? We're thinking of doing the same, just wondered how you're getting on with it?
Thanks
Dave0 -
That is great progress hon. It makes the scrimping and surveys etc seem more worth it when that is your result.0

Hi dave, no we did'nt go for the one account we stayed with chelsea and got a new 2 year fix mainly as we were on a high rate before and they let us escape it a few months early if we stayed with them, so we are on 3.43% for one more year.
Thanks Michelle, reading your diary has been a big help as I don't know anyone in the real world who would be interested.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
