  • Oh No to to the nightclub!!!

    Good luck to your boys,

and sorry to hear about the business... be careful putting your money in.. It natural thing to do.. and you have had correct advice... we did to £12k in cash (and OH used CC and OD for another 16k)... then we slapped on the wrist by authorities... for allowing an under performing business to trade. OH's accountant useless :( .... however probably less debt after a further year of trading although then it landed on my/our doorstep....

Hi mfd's its s one off and I want it paying back very quickly! There is enough work for it to be a good living but not with the staff we currently have.

    Good news re results :D

Ds 1 got 5 bs and cs (he thought he would fail everything )

Ds 2 got 7 bs and Cs

Both got bs in the subjects they are doing at college, only disappointment was ds 2 getting a d in English Lang when he was predicted a b , he's a bit upset but can retake at college when does his a levels. All in all a big relief though :D

I need to seriously go through the accounts, I forgot I bought dd a video camera for working hard at her exams , I think I need to give the boys some money now eek!

    Well done boys :T.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Thanks everyone it's very kind, it's such a relief that it's over with , at least for a while :)

Offered to take them our for lunch but they wanted to stay in as they are out tonight, so ordered dominoes lunch deal 3x large pizzas for £5.99 each

Been on the spreadsheet today and it looks like losing another day's pay will add another 3 months or so into the end date :( and that's with being incredibly frugal too. Will have another look this evening and do a new plan.

Well it looks like if we stop paying extra on the 0%cc then the wage cut will add 2 months onto the term of the mortgage, it's not the end of the world, but we will be £5280 short on the mortgage finishing in 2years plus the cc shortfall of 2.5k Ish.

As mentioned by Alex I could look for another job - I would really rather not to be honest :rotfl: but to tell the truth I will still probably be working as many if not more hours to make up the shortfall in manpower. Either way we are still very lucky to have a chance of clearing the mortgage in a short time, six years ago we had a 33 year mortgage, so I probably need to get a bit of perspective :o
