    Hi greent , mine is out of action currently as my dad insists it blew the electrics whilst we were away earlier this year, so I've not switched it on for a while as its been hot anyway.

    I've got the three tier one and usually throw a bedsheet or a couple of towels over it to speed things up, most things are done In 12 hours or under, and jeans a few hours more than that but only if they are slotted over the bars, if you wanted to do stuff quicker you could lay the clothes down flat and it would be much faster if needed :D

    Also you can dry duvets and pillows anything really, beware if you have a cat as mine likes to pull clothes onto the middle tier in a little pile and then sleep on them!

    I don't think it could be done if we had more than one child. We use the tumble dryer for everything other than things labelled as being unsuitable.

    NG: Surely, your children do their own laundry at their ages?

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    That's a good one Alex :D

    I am working on it, showed ds1 how to use the washing machine the other day but we are still at the " this is how you put your clothes in the washing bin" stage, we seem to have been at that stage for a while now...... They were tidier when they were little!

    Stop washing their clothes and they'll soon "learn". Seriously, can't see what instruction someone needs to use a washing machine. ;)

    However, I remember when I started university so many students didn't have a clue how to look after themselves.

    I am not convinced if stopped washing their clothes they would learn, they would probably just re wear the dirty stuff :rotfl:

    Packing today for next weekend, I bought some cheapy flat shoes yesterday and a dress (which I have been instructed to not leave the house in by ds1) it's from h and m and covered in cats :D

    Went to the cinema last night with dh to see the 9th life of Louis drax which was ok but I guessed the ending near the start which is disappointing, £0 spends though , dh seems to be getting used to not buying nachos/£4 bags of chocolate and drinks :T

    Not such a good month as last month, but I had to pay £876 off the loan before transfering it to a new one which is not shown on the figures above.

    Current monthly mortgage payments to clear in 25 months are £2585.05 , plus the loan payment and the cc payments. I do think we have ever lived off so little and that's saying something!

    I keep thinking are we doing the right thing by trying to clear it so quickly as we could take a bit longer and spend some on fun or trips with the kids, I realised today that the last week long holiday they had was on Devon in 2012, that's ago already. On the other hand with them possibly going to uni in two years no mortgage would be a god send. I think I am just feeling a bit guilty at the moment!

    In the past we have not had holidays as we couldn't afford them so it was always caravan breaks etc. But now we can afford it but choose to op instead of booking expensive holidays abroad. Hmm guilt factor either way, at least when they were little any holiday was an adventure, now I think it would take something pretty special to make them want to go away so us.:o
