Thanks for the comments guys :) I should add that dh has said he sees it as my money not ours , it's me that feels, if everything else is shared then that should be too.

I am surprised you can put something like that in a trust deed smlsave, is that even if you have been married many years? It doesn't seem fair that one party may earn a fortune and the other nothing and receive an inheritance which they can then protect from a divorce.

I guess whatever the situation it doesn't matter if you are on the same page over the descisions. I am well aware that I may feel differently if I was not the one sorting out the finances too ;)

Hi GG, sorry just seen your post :) Nearly everything was booked up, even some paying ones before we boarded, worst thing was virtually none of the restaurants did a veggie option

A Trust Deed is specific to the actual property and both owners have to agree and sign the same before a restriction is added to the Title Deeds. Most go..... upon sale and repayment of fees inc mortgage the first £xxx to be paid to Mr/Mrs.... It doesn't offer much protection (I'm pretty sure) from divorce other than showing intent that both parties agree who it belonged to.
It's more protection should you die at the wrong time or bankruptcy happens.

Interesting to think about all the different variables though :)
one couple I know do a Trust Deed for all their properties that their children automatically get a third - it's a way to get inheritance tax/capitial gains tax down

P.s. how can restaurants not do veggie options!?!

He brizzled, I love the nails :D I thought they would have to go as I use my hands at work with fiddly machinery , but is actually easier! Might have to keep them ;)

Clubbercise tonight, I have been good with food since we got back, organisation is the key and as a naturally lazy person that can be my downfall.

That's crazy - everywhere has a veggie choice in the menu these days.

Actually, the eating options on Royal Caribbean are another reason why I'm reluctant to try one of their bigger ships.

On P&O, the head waiter comes to my table every night, so I can choose the next evenings meal, which is then prepared on a low salt basis.

But with all this dynamic dining on RCI, I can't see how it'd work if you are in different restaurant each night.

Yes the service is much better on p and o, no queueing for drinks at the pool bars as well! :)

Payday tomorrow :j a day off today, so plenty of time to participate in my absolute favourite hobby of playing with the mortgage spreadsheet and making plans :D

Very sad news today about Prince passing away, dh has idolised him for years. It had always been something in the back of my mind we might do when we had the money, visit America to see him play there. We were lucky enough to see him recently at the roundhouse in Camden last year. I don't know , it makes you feel like getting out there and doing as much as possible.

On a slightly brighter note, I have been out today with my friend and splashed out on some new melamine plates and assorted bowls and and jug for entertaining in our smart new garden  I liked the ones in m and s but restrained myself as they were very expensive. Then found a fab range in Asda in a kind of Lary tropical theme, much cheaper and in kitsch taste, which tends to offend my kids which I find Is often a bonus :rotfl:

Payday tomorrow, lots to juggle and a while house to tidy and clean before my friend comes over for lunch (it's her birthday) I need to get up early, I will have to wait up for dd tonight though as she is at a cocktail party at one of the theatres she worked at last year, fingers crossed for contacts or offers of apprenticeships, it's the one she really wants to work at.

Yes, another shock death with Prince going like that.

I felt that one, as he was only a year older than me.

We're hoping to get some melamine plates as well, and some nice plastic glasses, as we're hoping to spend a lot of time outside this year...... a big hope!

    Good luck to your daughter
