Gm4l that cruise does look a bargain , but I couldn't go for 16 days due to dh's work and the thought of leaving the kids  will you be doing that one?

(I realised it was too long but gives an idea of what is out there even with the price rises this year, we are still thinking about it, we have 2 bathrooms and a garden project to cover this year and OH just bought a car)

I have just changed to the 3 night cruise after all :o we have just found out today that ds2 .... so three nights it is! On the plus side there will be a refund due of £680 now.

I went for the cheaper inside cabin as it saved another £100 and it has a brand new screen in your cabin which shows an image of the outside view on it, pretty cool.

Inside will be fine you won't be in it much less strain on the budget and time. The time will come soon enough when things loosen up and you can do other other stuff.

Gm4l , enjoy if you do go :)

When the mortgage is paid, the kids are older (and don't want to have parties :D) we will be merrily cruising around the world, with a balcony :rotfl:

Decided to op the cruise money, we may well want a holiday with the kids in July if we can persuade them! , but as its io I will just underpay by that much if and when we need it.

Stepping up the op's from April onwards, dh will continue taking some money in dividends and reducing his wages, so will earn more. All of it will go to op's except an extra £5 pm pocket money for the boys. Current budget for "everything else that's not bills or car pot" is £750 pm, (not including maths tuition money).

Even though we will have more money coming in I really want to keep costs down so,we can shave off a few months, the term is now 6 yrs 2 months and I would love to make it even shorter :D

Thanks sj, I wish I could knock off two months so easily :D

Another good day avoiding the housework today (birthday part 2!) shopping with best friend and baby, lunch at c*sta and I managed to spend some, birthday money :T a lovely evening bag from Tk ma** with magpies all over it, sounds bonkers, looks fab! £8 from £40.

The house is filling up tomorrow, we are having a takeaway with my parents and aunt, and now ds1 has a friend staying over as they are going to Liverpool at 5.30am (West Ham again) and now dd has asked for her friend to stay as they are going to a gig at the o2. It's like a hotel sometimes. I love it but don't love the fact I need to do lots of housework tomorrow as I have been at work or out shopping all week :D

    To do list:

    Clean whole house
    Change beds
Find some spare sleeping stuff for kids
Check email for cruise booking and refund due
Go to post office to collect the £5 velvet jacket I ordered
Buy plenty of wine for family visit
Set the table with a pink sparkly theme as its my birthday and Mother's Day (dd has already decorated with banners and sprinkles :D)

Urgh too much wine last night and awake too early this morning - ds1 and friend off to Liverpool , set alarm for 5.40 am they woke us up ready at 5.15 am - evil

Dh is dropping them off at the coach pick up then coming back to collect the other two for work, the second week n a row for ds2 :T I have NOTHING to do all day except ironing

    I could:

Laze around and watch catch up tv
    Read a book
Stay in bed with my iPad
    Cook for the week ahead
Try out my new ceramic rollers when they are delivered today
Spend some time on the op calculator :D

Out tonight to the Turkish restaurant with best friend and her hubby for my birthday, won't drink too much wine this time :D
