  • Hope it was a joyous occasion as well as sad. Personally, the night away sounds like a step too far. You have enough on your plate. Have a snuggle night in and save the market for another day? You won't enjoy it if you are worrying about the kids.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D
  • Hope today gave you all an opportunity to reminisce and enjoy the love that you all shared for your gran.

    Take care, Tilly x x

Thanks everyone for the very kind words, it was a nice service and a few hours chatting and reminising afterwards with friends and family. I felt just as upset about grandad too which I wasn't expecting as he passed away about 7 years ago, end of an era I guess.

    Tired this week!

We are not going away tomorrow night, luckily I booked the premier inn rate you can cancel for free, dh would have had to shut the factory sat as nobody could cover, plus we have all the inlaws round saturday so would have had to cut short.

As it was dh's birthday present I might book tickets to spectre at the weekend to make up for it, he has not seen it and I am quite happy to suffer watching Daniel Craig twice :D

Spent lots this week from the sofa in the evenings:

Rock band 4 for ds2 for xmas, have been watching for a couple of months and has not dropped below £110 , yesterday amazon black fri week £79.99 :T

Humax tv box, refurbished and still needs an external hardrive but only £39.99 , will cancel sky, although kids don't believe I actually will

Lovely 60's style black swing dress debenhams sale £15.40 for xmas

All xmas presents bought except ds1 who may be going to the belgium grand prix next year with my little brother, he hasn't decided yet, although it will be coach and camping not five star hotel :rotfl:

Some good bargains there newgirly! I am off to finish my Christmas shopping this morning:)

We cancelled Sky last month. Took a long time for DH to agree until I pointed out we never watched it, we always watch Netflix!

Well done xspender, my lot are up in arms about sky at the moment , will set the humax box up at the weekend and see how it goes :D

:xmastree: The tree is up :j it was a bit spur of the moment but I thought it was pointless doing a full house scrub then making a horrid mess next week! Plus november has been rubbish so I am starting December early. We have retro foil pulley out ceiling decorations this year too and of those red and gold fringed "merry christmas" banners, its like a 1970's time warp here :rotfl: The kids are highly embarrassed, they don't appreciate I am ahead of my time decoartion wise and it will all be back in fashion soon :p

Plans for today, collect sale dress ordered from debenhams at lakeside black friday "shudder", house work and washing.
