Ah thanks Peonie, it may be a challenge though, ahem starting today please
Dh has a friend who runs his business from dh's factory, and he has offered us use of his holiday house this weekend :j he has just finished renovating it ready for sale at the end of summer. It's in Walton on the naze a lovely traditional seaside town and I think about an hour and a half away. He is insistent on not taking any Money for us to say there (we will get them a nice pressie of course)
But the challenge is to spend as little money as possible, I want to take all food for the whole weekend and just budget for a bag of chips each on the beach as that's an essentialit is not far from clacton as well so I will get the kids a wristband for the rides there at £9.80 each if booked online before we go.
I have no money for any of this so need to borrow from next months food budget really not ideal but I think its too good an offer to pass up, plus dh is VERY stressed at the moment and we will be busy for the next few weeks with the kids birthdays and then hopefully the loft. So eek I need to iron /pack/ buy food / gather enough duvets sheets /sleeping bags/ pack some kitchen bits as its not been stayed in yet much
Target : try to not go over £100 for petrol/food and drinks/ wristbands for rides and everything else !MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Well the weekend away is cancelled
. Ds2 had had a funny turn at school this morning, blurred vision/ dizzy / very white. I took him straight to the doctor who looked him over and couldn't find anything but has said he must go for blood tests. He was poking about in his ear last night with a cotton bud and had pain afterwards so it could be related to that. But it's a worry, so we will have a lazy weekend and try to keep cool indoors.
Life is such a roller coaster at the moment , it would be nice to have a bit of calm for a while!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hope ds2 is ok0

Ooo hope your DS is okay newgirly
hopefully a relaxing weekend will help x0 -
Thanks yukkibear and tyo
. He seems his usual self today so I am hoping it was a one off, we still have to go for blood tests Monday to make sure. Ds 2 is very slight and has lost weight as he has started growing taller lately , I have been trying to get as much food down him as possible to try and boost him up a bit
I spent the day trying to start getting sorted for dd's party next week, we are putting dh's surround system in the log cabin ,plus we will have a sweetie buffet set up on top of the hot tub, everything else more or less is outside under the gazebo, sofas coffee tables etc. it looks cool  the flea bay banners we good too, huge personalised paper banners for about £3.50 the lot. A pretty frugal 16th really.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend in the sunMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Thank alchemilla and nto
Just had a look at the current acct and I not sure what I've done but I seem to be £200 adrift  it will have to come from next months money as this months used already. We did have the bees nest to pay for and I paid for all the tickets for the cinema triple bill some of us are seeing next week.
I am seriously wondering if I am on the wrong board, I think I should maybe be on the Dfw one instead, nothing is really coming off the mortgage.
The good news is I can use the cc again on the 11th :j this month I might keep a proper spending diary of what is being spent on food, I want to buy a few nicer things than usual to get ds2 to eat a bit more, shop bought stuff is always more enticing than my cooking :rotfl:
Anyway, off for a BBQ , enjoy the sunMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
