    Mmm that sounds nice :D

I've made the soup, bread and a really great smelling curry base, its from the mortgage free in 3 blog. You basically make a big batch of concentrated spices/onions/ginger/chillies/garlic and then freeze it in a muffin tin in lots of little portions and then add to your recipe as and when you need, so a nice fresh tasting curry without the legwork.

That is such a good idea! Will try to put into action tomorrow.:j

I made it a while back. Lovely, but not that spicy so I added fresh chillies when I cooked.

Last night we had curry made from the bases I made yesterday and its very nice :D the bread was terrible, which was strange as its been so long since I made somewhat I followed the receipt book, I'll have to try again today.

It's piddling down today, so I'm staying in and doing some work for dh, and cleaning downstairs. I did buy some apple and grape juice yesterday from ald* as I used to have all the stuff to make wine and there was a receipe on here somewhere how to do it using juice. Once I have tried that I'll probable give gg's wine making kits a go

Trying to spend less on groceries seems to mean that we tend to eat better usually, as much more stuff is homemade and shopping in ald* is making a big difference as there is much less choice I don't wander round looking at ready made stuff, its more the basics. When I do go to the big supermarkets, it seems to be row upon row of ready meals and they are so expensive (and small :D)

    So today's little things are:

    Made a 41p op
    Make some bread
    NSD
Meal plan and allocate food for whole weekend
    No heating during the day
Try and decide whether we should ebay our big beautiful tent we have not used yet :( ( I should add that no-one actually wants to go camping in :rotfl:)

Piddling down here too. I'm hoping it continues because I don't want the window cleaner to come round :o If he does, I'll have to hide. Again.

If you're absolutely sure you're not going to use the tent, then definitely sell it. I would do what nto is going to do & try to sell in the Spring as that's when (hopefully) the weather is picking up & people start getting itchy feet to get away.

Good luck with the winemaking :D

I have the same issue here but at least we have used it 3 times! I wish Mr AJM had told me he wasn't keen before we bought it!

It's not just me then :D we did have a tent we used for a total of 3 days , but it did not have a built in ground sheet so bugs could get in. Our new tent has 4 bedrooms and is about 10 meters long  it can't fit in a standard pitch, I blame dh he got carried away :rotfl:

Dh is at work as he has a big order to get done (unpaid of course) so we are hanging round the house until he gets back with the car. I was planning on taking the kids to thorpe park tomorrow , but am not sure now, its going to be showers on and off plus I will have to pay for petrol there(£20 ish) I can't decide what to do  the kids want to go but I think dh might need a rest and although I can go on my own I don't fancy it.

Yesterday I made another loaf, which again was like a solid brick, I followed the same receipe I always use and used the same flour, I think there must be something wrong with the bread maker perhaps. I also knocked up some twins hob nobs, cakes and a tea loaf. No wine making done still as I forgot to hide the apple juice and ds2 drank it after school.

Off to make today's op ,have a good weekend everyone :D

    57p op made :D

Dh still at work so I made been productive and listed some stuff on flea bay, and have a bid already :j i' selling 4 bottles of unopened perfume/aftershave and 2 pairs of converse boots the twins never wore, I am really hoping for enough money to pay the petrol for Alton towers at the end of the month. I still need to order a ticket for dd's friend too who we are taking , so that's another £25 odd to find.

Tomorrow we are using the groupon voucher I bought a few weeks ago for 2 x games of bowling for up to 6 and a dozen arcade tokens. I need to get out the house, its pouring down, dh has the car and I'm getting a bit of cabin fever :rotfl: the kids don't care though as they have been glued to their xboxes/ tv's all day... Bad mum :p
