By what you said it's not like you can move any time soon so best to make the most of things - maybe it won't seem so bad once it's done?

Not sure what my mother's day gift is but not too fussed either just looking forward to him being angelic all day...

I have just found the most inspiring blog, its called "a girl called jack" sorry still not able to so links :o Its about a 24 yr old single mum and her 2 yr old living on a budget of £10 a week, making healthy meals , and crafting to raise money to feed the homeless where she lives in southend, a sad but uplifting blog which put my money worries very much into perspective.

    HERE YOU GO

    Quick lesson:
Type in something like HERE YOU GO.
Go to the page you want to link and copy address
    Highlight HERE YOU GO
Press the icon above that looks like the world with a paperclip
Paste address in and click ok.

Hopefully that will work. If not, just paste address:

ETA: IGNORE THE ABOVE EVERYONE! Do NOT start reading it or you will lose your Sunday (and your heart!) (great recipes though :) )
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Thanks for that I GG you are a star :A

I can't see a world and a paper lip, that might be as its an iPad? When I have forced dd from the pc I will have a go on there, then I will be linking away all the time :rotfl:

Their blog had me in tears yesterday, and I made dd read some of it, she runs the school paper and I think it would make a great piece, especially as we live in a very affluent area and I'm sure that the fact someone can be in this situation would be completely alien to lots of
    pupils.

Anyway on a brighter note, I had some fab pressies :D pj's in my size:T a rubber duck , those red choccy's in the shape of a ball, and a bunch of flowers. Way too much , but very nice.

    63p op made :D

I've dropped doggie off at the vets this morning for tests, although her urine looked completely normal this morning, and she was bouncing around as usual. I think they are doing scans and X-rays, the nurse did ask if she was insured first (she seemed a bit surprised that she is not), so I guess most of the clients pets are covered.
This is the time I regret having an emergency fund :o

The slow cooker is on with a very basic soup, 1 tin to tomatoes, 1/2 litre stock, 2 celery sticks, 1 onion and a teaspoon of herbs. Will see how it tastes later. The idea was to ,are a very low cal soup and start the 5-2 diet today, but there is half a chocolate fudge cake in the fridge form Mother's Day lunch left, I think today might be one of the "5" days :rotfl:

I thing might be time to maybe plan think up a few new challenges for this year, at the moment the only ones I'm doing are:

    Make an op every day
Stick to £10 a day until march 22nd ( my new monthly grocery etc pay date)
Make one present a month for Xmas (currently just one sock monkey made for dd)

I think somewhere that I could do better is the kids lunches for school, the problem is they don't seem to want to take or eat anything, it usually comes squished in the bottom of their bags, they will not take anything big, or hot, or leftover dinner type food. Basically they are flippin fussy, so I end up giving them the same roll, drink, apple, crisps , small biscuit/ kicks type snack.
Maybe cutting down a bit to say 3 items but making them more filling would be better , healthier and cheaper? Start making bread again, homemade biscuits etc. we seem to spend more on snacks and drinks than proper food sometimes.

Well done for sticking to the diet nto, I am fed up getting nowhere but am not in the right mood to tackle it properly at the moment.

The dog is having an op this afternoon for bladder stones, she should be home tomorrow , so far £1255

I am sticking it on the 0% cc , there is just enough space on there. After a through look through , it is within the realms of possibility that we could still pay for the loft and the cc this year, apart from the bathroom suite/ carpets/ new bed/ blinds decoration/paint etc.:rotfl:

Is it possible to earn enough and cut back enough to pay for some of these things? I also have the kids birthdays and dd's prom to pay for in July.

What can I sell that's no nailed down :D

Eek at the £1255 vet bill!! Hope pooch recovers quickly from the op, might take you a bit longer to recover from spending that much money though!! It makes me think I should have a special emergency fund for our puss cat.
