I've set a mini challnege to run from today until the 22nd march as dh's new monthly wage change starts in April so I'm trying to get in sync now. £10 a day for everything, it's a very short term challenge so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard to stick to.

All the budgeting for the mfw challenges does not include the cost of the bathroom suite and tiles we need, so I will have to try and find ways to earn extra to cover it, I think enlisting the help of my kids to ebay a few bits might help.

I started the 5-2 diet today , it went really well until about 10am, when I decided for the safety of others I really shouldn't try fasting
    so gave up.

    10p op yesterday, £3.00 op today :D

Have spent £40 so far this week in ald*, so my budget has gone until Friday. One thing I have noticed lately is I seem to be using the car less and shopping less which is good I guess. Dh's work is busy for a change at the moment so I have been helping him out more from home, which I must admit has been better since it has warmed up a bit as it was getting quite cold with the heating off all day.

Today I claimed £2.78 from tcb which I'd've rounded up to £3 and op'd. We actually won't be oping our 25k loan or mortgage this year as we have to find money towards the building work still, but next year we will op the loan so it should be cleared in dec 2015 Instead of feb 2020.

Which means no proper op's on the mortgage for just under 3 years :( it makes it all the more important for me to pay off odd pennies here and there where I can, and hopefully squeeze a bit extra and earn some more sometimes too.

It can seem a very long hard slog sometimes, you feel like you are doing without quite a lot,but still have many many years to go like this.

    Moan over :p

£1.41 op made :D, so far I have made £6 of Tilly tides this month.

Today I'm off to the shops to maybe spend a bit of my birthday money, I want to get a gap hoodie as my 10 yr old one is a little holey and I love it. Not sure what else I could get really, I might save some and get some stuff for the garden.

I didn't achieve much yesterday, and dh stayed late at work as there was so much to do, 5am- 9pm, no wonder he's stressed all the extra hours are unpaid of course.:(

Today I need a kick up the b*m and a todo list so:

    Do all washing
    Do all ironing
    Clean twins room
    Clean dd's room
    Don't over eat
Buy myself something with the birthday money :T
Do at least 2 hours for dh

Hi Newgirly, belated birthday wishes to you. Did you buy anything nice? I might look into shopping at Aldi more courtesy of the £5 vouchers. If I struggle to spend it I will top up with wine! I can vouch for the one gallygirl recommended. Am sure they used to do a £2.59 one but I can't find it anymore.

Good luck with your March challenge, I might try and use cash fro now until payday instead f using card without thinking.
