Sorry to hear the vets bill was so large. I am sure you will manage to pay for the. Loft conversion and clear the cc.
My teenage daughter is a fussy eater. She takes to college either salad or sausage rolls. For a change of fruit this week I brought some kiwi fruit which she enjoyed for a change other than grapes or banana. I did buy a banana plastic cover as they kept making the return journey home unbeaten. This has stopped this problem. Brought it from amazon only a few pound.
Hope your dog recovers quickly.2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sorry to hear about the vets bill - wishing your dog a speedy recovery.
I have recently cancelled my pet insurance as it went up to £20.80 per month and my dog is only a year old and a cross breed so i have started putting £25 away each month instead as a doggy emergency fund. Keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't need to be seen by the vet before I can get her fund built up!0 -
Poor dog and poor credit card - in roughly equal measures . Hope both recover soon

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks everyone for the kind wishes , the dog is fine I have just collected her and she is on a pillow on the sofa
The cc is not so fine though
it will take a while to recover form the mahoosive bill, and no great shock but the vet had not even included the overnight stay ( after two conversations where she confirmed the price was for everything) so another £106 on top, making a painful total of £1356 Then it took an hour to pay as 3 receptionists could not work how to pay part card part cash ( had literally enough to cover the original price) and to top it all they had closed the practice to the public whilst the partners were trying to give a lecture to all the staff, and I was clearly not wanted.
To make matters worse I have eaten a hot x bun and a cupcake to get over the distress
Still it's a fresh new day tomorrow, and I shall find a way to keep hold of some of the cash that comes into this house before it gets snatched away.:D
The usual 10p op todayMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
10p op made
I've just spent a while planning the year's finances part 101
Currently outstanding I have:
0%cc.........................£3472
big loft loan.................£24,765
mortgage....................£146,175
total..........................£174,412
Still to save:
loft shortfall................£2030
bathroom suite/tiles......£600
carpet for loft room.......£400
new bed.....................£300
quilt/pillows/sheets.......£100
total..........................£3430
I should be able to cover the loft shortfall from our monthly money, so I need to earn/making savings enough to cover £1400 by July  the estimates for the stuff we need to buy is pretty low as well, we will have to just do that room and then hopefully get the carpet on the stairs/kids bedroom etc. when we have more money for it. Any other paint and knick knacks will have to be super cheap or renovated stuff we already have as although I want it to look nice, we really don't have money to splash out.
I have found a couple of bottles of perfume that have never been opened , so will stick them on ebay when one my my lot comes home with their blackberry's. I think the money will have to come from ebaying and super frugal cookingMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Good luck with the savings NewGirly.
Perfumes generally go pretty well on eBay so hopefully you'll get a bit of a bidding war going on.

Up too early again today and have been drinking tea and going on the op spreadsheet to see where we might be at in the future.
We took the big loft loan out last month for 25k over 7 years, by jan 2013 we should be able to start oping it. If we stick to a super tight budget we may fingers crossed be able to clear it by dec 2015.
Then in jan 2016 we op the mortgage (still IO) with the loan and loan op amounts, effectively the mortgage will be cleared in 10 yrs from then , so ending dec 2025, when I will be 50
It seems like such a long time, and whether its even possible I'm not sure as it does not allow for nice holidays , uni :eek::eek:( we have 3 kids :rotfl:) or a new car if our dies in the meantime.
Oh well, enough looking at the bigger picture, its making me miserable:p
Inspired by Michelle's "all the little things" thread:
Today :
Made a 10p op
Make more super cheap tomato soup
Make a batch of curry base to freeze
No heating whilst kids at school, then up to 17 when they get home.
Make a loaf and feed kids that with lots of scrambled egg from mums chickens for tea.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
