Thanks everyone for the kind wishes, feeling a little urgh this morning after too much wine last night at the Indian/karaoke/disco . It was a good night and its not often you go to a restaurant with its own light up disco floor :dance:it was completely packed in there are seriously essex'y:rotfl:

Today we are out with the inlaws to the harvester for lunch, which is good as I can't be bothered to do much today.:o in the end we got mil one of those" buy a gift" prepaid meal London vouchers, which had 29% off the other day.

I'm currently debating whether to try and change the date of the weekend away if we can (I think we can)to a bit later in the year , so we have a bit more time to save up, I know it's not a lot of money we need for 2 nights but its there middle of next month and I still need toput some by for Alton towers overnighter with the kids, plus we have a loft shortfall of about 2 k. To allow for by June/July ish  I feel a bit mean though as dh booked it as he knew I wanted to go there, and I don't want to seem ungrateful, I think I'll have a proper go throught the accts later and see how we are doing, I've already spent a too much and it's only the 3rd, as I paid for lunch yesterday and Friday, I might need to put a lot more effort in meal planning etc this month, also need to make the last few days op's.

Time to sort out the finances, have noticed today on another thread that I need to update my mfi3 first 3 months' figures. I am dreading this and how to allow for the fact that I am putting money toward the loft, I need to work out a way that it doesn't seem like we are just borrowing more without paying anything off monthly when we are are.

Back later after some serious thinking :D

Why don't you ask FB to amend your starting balance? I'm sure he will if you ask him nicely :).

Some on MFiT are saving rather than paying off. You could change your mortgage target and have an addition saving or loan target.
    Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120
    MFiT3 #86: Reduce mortgage from £146,800 to £125,000
    Mortgage Sept 2014: £135,500, MF Oct 2035 Peak July 2011: £154,000, MF July 2036

I will have to amend the targets on no the 2013 mfw challenge and the mfi3t3 challenge I think, it need time spending on it working out what realistic targets are. I've cancelled what I was doing today to sort it our, sounds a bit drastic I know but after checking my acct I have spent half of marches money already and it's only the 4th

I've also taken a look back through my diary to see what targets I set for feb and I didn't set any. I seem to be letting thing slip a lot , so I shall be working hard and updating through the day :D

    Well, this has been giving me brain ache today. Previously the targets were purely for op's;

MFW 2013 target: Pay off £10,733 this year

MFIN3 T3 challenge target: Get balance down from £147,200 to £115,000 in 3 years (Clearing £32,200)

    The new plan is to:

MFW 2013 target: Pay off £9,770

    MFI3 T3 challenge target: £32,370

Fairly similar amounts, but the new figures include clearing the loan, paying extra towards the loft cost, clearing the stoozing card, op's made from 12/12/12 until now, money for carpet for the loft and stairs.

    Start balance for 12/12/12

    £147,200 os bal
    £25,000 loan
    £2222.40 stooze card
    £1,300 for carpet
£2,830 rest of basic cost of loft

    £178,552.40 total _pale_

    target for 12/12/15:

£146,174.98 Which is today's current mortgage value, but everything else paid for hopefully.
