I got 4 of the Easter eggs today ~ the offer is on until 3rd or 4th March.

Also got 2 bottles of half-price wine for the weekend ~ is it only me that feels bad buying wine at nine o'clock in the morning!! :o

Glad your DD's prom dress has arrived ~ poppy red sounds like a lovely colour even though it's not quite what she was expecting. I'm going to have to sort my DD's dress out soon ~ she knows roughly what she wants so think I'll try ebay as well.

Hope today isn't as busy for you as yesterday :)

Thanks again for the East Egg tip - I'm home now with my 16 eggs (£12) - enough for the party and also for Easter itself. Thank you.

By the time I start on the 2nd I'm usually ok.

Oh, you said buying wine at 9 o'clock :o.

:icotbaske So glad some of you managed to get the cheap eggs, I saw :money: on tv this morning talking about the same offer so no doubt they will be gone quite quickly.

Still no acct checking done, or even op spreadsheet stuff looked at :o I feel like with the loft loan, and still money to find for it that we are a million years away from paying this mortgage off, and I need to sort myself out and get back properly into it even if it is going to take until I'm 103 to pay it off :rotfl:

Today I went back to my new fav supermarket ald* and spent £44 , I think the new plan is to spend a bit more on food but shop there and generally have a nice full fridge plenty of fruit veg and wine.:D if anyone does pop in there there is a very nice red wine with a purple lid and a lizard on the front, I think it's a Cabernet Shiraz for £3.99 which worth a try.

Not tried that, but there is a lovely, award winning, Tempranillo, El Toro, think it's £3.69 :).

newgirly, did you know you can get £5 off a £40 spend at Ald1 every month?? The voucher appears in the Daily Mirror (50p). The next one should be scheduled (I think) for 28th March ~ I put a reminder on my phone but have 'liked' them on FB so get a notification as well.

Thanks pink poppy, every month would be fantastic that's £60 a year extra to op :T

GG I accept your mfi99 challenge :rotfl:

Today I have had a great day, went to bluewater shopping centre with my best friend and had a yummy pizza express lunch ( the lower cal option :A) and bought myself a new dress from dotty p's, a royal blue mini shift dress that I shall wear to tomorrow night as we are out with our dhs' for a curry and disco night  I could get used to doing this everyday, lunching and shopping :D

Tonight I'm going round mums for dinner and I've promised to buy the kids a takeout pizza. I am a little worried that dh has got me nothing for my birthday, usually he takes the kids out for a quick shop and there are usually bags in my boot or stuff hidden obviously around the house and he hasn't asked if there anything I want. Hmm we will have to see, if I don't get a card or two from my lot there will be a lot of sulking :rotfl:

I feel a bit bad I've not been reading many diaries the last few weeks , will need to catch up with lots next week.

I think I'd struggle to spend £40 at Aldi!

I'm sure DH has got you something, try not to worry. As a chap, not making that mistake is programmed in at a genetic level. Or does he have 'form'? :rotfl:

Hi edinburgher, he does have form from about 12/13 years ago (0bviously I like to hold a grudge :rotfl:) I got nothing as he had no time ?! after seeing all my family and having to repeatedly hear people ask what he got me, he never made that mistake again. :p

I have asked him if its a mini as that's the only thing I ever say I want, but the chances of that are less than 0.0000001% :D

I usually manage ok :o. Plus their tinned toms (chopped and whole) are also worth stocking up on.
