Eon still have not set up my electric acct which as supposed to bed done by now.

    Hi newgirly

Sorry there's been a delay setting up your electricity account.

Is the account being setting up following a change of supplier? If it is, sometimes there's a delay receiving the relevant metering details, either from the previous supplier or from the other industry organisations involved.

Don't worry. If there's a big gap between the start date and when the account goes live, ask for any resulting balance to be spread over a similar period. We'll be happy to do this.

    Sorry again for the delay.

Brrr, its very cold today. Made worse by the fact the ipad won't connect to the internet so I have to use the pc in the icy conservatory.
Dh has taken the boys to work today , so its just me and dd. Unusually she is up and about already (she is 15 :p), so we could have a coffee and a girly mooch around the shopping centre today on our own. However I have a bit of a dilema - by ebay stuff finishes in about two and a half hours  and I really wanted to watch it end, i have only checked on it all about 300 times so far this week :D

edit; she has just come downstairs all dressed and ready to go, so looks like descision made! back later

The bidding is over and I made £70.69 before fees :j which just so happens to be the same amount I spent on petrol last night. I was hoping it might get us to alton towers next Sunday and some of the way back :D

As is usual with these things though dd has just told me about the school leavers sweatshirt and book..... Around £60 odd for both :( bah, why can't I enjoy my moneymaking for a while longer :rotfl:

We had an hour at the shops this morning, bought a crazily expensive couple of drinks and one croissant in c*sta for almost £9  but other than some socks, neither of us bought anything and we also didn't fancy looking around at stuff. Being mse has Definatly taken the joy out of shopping for me !

  • Well done on your eb@y sales. I know what you mean though, money seems to appear in your left hand and disappear from your right hand. DS came home on Friday asking for money for a science project.

Agree on the coffee prices - I am sure they would make more profit if they leered the prices and had more throughput.

    Enjoy the snowy weekend

Hi Tilly, thanks for popping in.

£7 op made today :D dh has taken ds2 to work today again, there is no heating there so it must be sooo cold for them, only a half day today. The boys have been paid by dh for helping out there this weekend, if only he paid himself for working weekends :(

Made a huge pan of chilli last night and am going to make a few individual aubergine lasagnes for the freezer later. It's too cold to out today, I have even put the heating on so it must be bad.

Alton towers is shut all this weekend, and we are supposed to be going there next Sunday  even if its open its going to be a tad chilly :snow_grin I do hope it is open though as we have booked premi*r inn no refundable rooms.

Back later to catch up on diaries

Decided not to do long to do lists for the week, just daily ones staring tomorrow :p

It's been a very busy start to the week, dd had her other college interview which went really well, she had such a good recommendation from her head that they offered her a place straight away whether she gets the required grades or not ( obviously not if she flunks the whole lot!) so she is really happy as its a great college that's not that easy to get in. Only problem is its a few bus rides away from us and bless her she is worried about the cost of travel. :o

Other news is we have had a tyre puncture which cost £68 yesterday, which has knocked back the little breathing space I had this month , now I am down to £175 for everything until 24 April, food, petrol, friends birthday night out :eek:and a birthday present.

I have managed to allocate money for dd's leavers book and sweatshirt , another £40 ish for both. I can't say no as she has not even asked and I know she really wants them.

Dh is not great , he's had to make 2 redundancies this week, which has been really hard for him ( and obviously not great for the staff involved) hopefully things will pick up soon, he is still busy everyday and is now going to start working 7 days a week again to try and keep on top of things now there are less staff. The main business problems are still not resolved and we are still waiting for a date for us to take his late boss's wife to court. It just been going on for so long now its a joke.

Anyway, I'm off to do some ironing.

£2.32 yesterday and £2.12 ops made today :D

Due to having to save toward the loft cost and clear the cc in the later part of this year I've only been making token payments this year , a bit of cashback as and when and daily Tilly tidies.
Just had a quick look and so far this year it has added up to:
    Jan £140.54
    Feb £41.69
    March £53.41 so far.

A total of £235.64 in 3 months without too much effort, current mortgage balance is £146,123.05 it would bet great to get down to £145k by the end of the year, I can't see how but you never know :D

You've set yourself a target now - I bet you will do it, look how the small amounts add up. Hope your DH work issues get sorted soon aswell, that must be really stressful for you both.
