I have done the last ordering of the kids xmas presents, they have lots of games and dvd's some new and some old. The problem is when the boys want new xbox games for xmas at £40+ a go, their present pile looks very small! I shall have to wrap them in boxes of different shapes and bulk out with selection boxes.

Food shopped at the frozen food place that starts with an I , Have been doing it a lot since the new chest freezer and find dinners so much easier now. Tonight the kids are having lots of different veg, frozen roasties, yorkies and mini chicken breasts. Not sure of cost but less than £2 for 3 of them I think, we will have veggie sausage casserole.
    • 1 pack l*nda mc cartney sausages £1
    • 1/2 bag mixed casserole veg mix £0.50
    • stock cube 1p
    • couple spoons onion gravy 10p?
    • value mash £0.20 = Total £1.81
It smells fantastic in the sc at the moment.:D

I have been up early and stumbled across the mfi3 thread which I swear I had joined already, but don't seem to have.

So I have signed up this morning :j My target is :

    Start balance estimate £145,185

3 year target get down to £100,000

This means I have to make my monthly payment of £1504.57 (thats already the tricky bit :o) and then op by exactly £81 per month to hit the 100k target.

I have set myself the same target and I think our starting amount is about the same as yours so we can keep each other going :T
    MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700
    MFiT-T7 No. 6 £4868.07/£30,000

Hi ajmoney, thanks for popping into my diary. It does seem a very optimistic target to hit but its got to worth a try! I shall drop in on your diary.:D

I have been quite bad and spent too much  Bought ds2's new game he wanted for xmas, plus what I spent earlier on various presents this week, I have gone £168 over.:o
Now I have to work out where it will come from, eek! It will have to be ebay I think this weekend.

The food budget is still under control though with £84 left for this month out of the £200, but lots in the freezer. The extra money for theme park trips has more or less gone, but we did use double the petrol last week getting to thorpe park because of the traffic , plus I bought 2x dvd's of the kids on swarm (stocking fillers) and cups for them all, lunch and a bounceback ticket.

My new MFI3-T3 challenge no. came through this morning and I am 82, its so sad but I am excited, I missed out on joining the last one as it has already been going a while. I will still do the yearly mfw challenge as well but tis good to have a medium term goal as well, especially when theres so many bloomin years left:D

Took some bits back to primarni today and exchanged for some lovely fake sheepskin backed blankets for the kids beds @£10 each, hopefully that should help at night as the heating will be off nearly all the time still for a while. A few years ago we literally had the heating on 24/7 whether anyone was in or not, I am beginning to realise how we got into so much debt over the years.:o

Also went to mr s and bought loads of tins of beans, 32p chickpeas and chopped toms plus a few other bits, now budget is down to £51 for the rest of the month, I really must stop spending!

We had a very stressful day again yesterday, hopefully it will be better today :(

On the upside though I tried to keep busy and managed to clear the whole conservatory of toot and brought in two cream tub chairs from the log cabin to go in the living room and cleared that too, now I feel like I live in a new house (well in one room anyway!)

We are off to the bootsale once everyone (except dd of course who would not be up at this crazy hour) is dressed, I am just going to try and get a couple of candles from a fab super cheap stall and hopefully one of those ceramic old fashioned chicken egg holders, I have one already but would like a little row of them in my new re-vamped kitchen whan its done.

    Right I'm off now :D

Mine was only £5 from a bootsale and they hold at least 12 eggs, they are coming back in fashion now though so are a bit harder to find I think.

I had a successful time at the bootsale:
    • 2x crochet blankets @£2 each
    • 1x crochet blanket @£1
    • advent candle in snowman ceramic holder£1(new)
    • lots of sparkly glass candle holders £1 each(new)
    • extendable dog lead (new)£1.20
    No chickens though :(

We also went to the big diy store and took back all the flooring we bought for the kitchen re-vamp. It was laminate that looked like slate, but since the weather has been wet lately the dog has been having the odd accident during the night, so perhaps not a good idea, we will stick to the tiles we have. However I lost the receipt, they were fab though and gave us a credit note. I've bought paint for the hall, stairs, kitchen, and through lounge (half price) and still have a £90 credit note left.:D
I'm planning to buy a real xmas tree from there this year if dh doesn't swipe the credit note for some more boring purpose!

Just cooked a HUGE veggie chilli in the sc, with a bag of ic*land veggie mince £2 for a 650g bag which is 1/2 the price of normal quorn, there should be enough left for lots of extra meals for me this week, I don't mind eating the same thing all the time.

Just looked back at last week's to-do list and only did under half of it :o

So a fresh start this week and with the builders gone it should be a bit easier:
    • do about 3 days work for dh
    • undercoat the kitchen walls
    • clear hallway of tools/leaky bags of plaster etc.
    • cook from freezer/cupboards except milk/bread all week
    • finish blanket I've been knitting for a year
    • check for free cinema tickets on sky
    • Strip one wall in the hallway...........done
    • join the flyladies and stick to it!
    • do surveys EVERYDAY.
Hope everone had a good weekend :D
