Thanks Dawn, its seems ok though :) I seriously loaded it up last night with wet towels folded in half etc and this morning they were still wet, everything else seems almost dry and I didn't cover the whole thing with a sheet, so I think if I use it properly it should be a winner.

We have all dh's family round for a takeaway tonight, so I now have to blitz the whole house, b&sil and niece are moving up to lincoln in less than 2 weeks, so its a goodbye meal really. My Mum has offered to have the kids overnight soon if we want a quick break, so am thinking of getting a cheap purple hotel room before xmas and visiting lincoln cathedral plus obviously their new house!

They have sold a tiny 2 bed flat in not the best area in Essex for a 3 bed new house with a big garden for the same price, it really is amazing what you get for your money.

  • Morning NG i have heated airer, not a tiered one.i like it but do find you have to continuously move the items around as obviously the heat only gets to the bit of the item the item is resting on.
towels etc i tend to lay over the top to try and get them touching as many bars as possible.

Not sure what to do today, dh not in a good mood :( Kids homework all done and they want to play new games the computer guy that came over loaded on there yesterday, so they won't want to leave the house!

Maybe I should do some baking, otherwise I will waste the whole day online. The house is clean and tidy still due to the inlaws visit last night and I am dodging the ironing until later :p

Hmm, perhaps a dog walk to start the fresh air might perk me up a bit.

The dog got her walk but the baking was ditched in favour of pizza, crisps, chocolate and wine

Argh! Have just writen a long moan about the awful situation we are in with the business which seems to be escalating daily almost, but have had to delete just incase as we may end up taking her to court  Once its all sorted, there will be a long ranty post about the whole saga.

Anyway, that aside I shall try to focus on normality and this week's to-do list is:
    • surveys everyday
    • no spending on food as budget for this month gone -oop's!
    • fine tune xmas lists and finish buying
    • 2 days helping dh out
    • flyladying
    • no using the td or radiators to dry stuff
    • finish blanket I should have finished last week
    • pack for alton towers :j
    • clean out gross car
    • ebay something
I have listed my first thing in years today (with help:o) a spare thorpe park ticket as I can't face the traffic again so soon.

How exciting is ebay selling :j I have 1x £18 ticket to sell and have been offered £15 and £20 already for it, but have not got a bin price so will let it run, I don't care if I end up with less I am just so excited to see the finish :rotfl:

I have already spent the money and a bit more on oneseys for the boys and silly hats for them to wear to altlon towers at the weekend, good job I don't get embarrassed easily!

I can't believe how much money I am getting through at the moment :o Extra bits and pieces I have earnt have been spent this month with only a small amount going to op's. However next month will be the first debt free month where I can op hopefully at least £1k pm, only because we are still on IO though.

We should be saving it all at the moment though due to so many issues with the business that are unresolved, but I am a bit worried that we would spend it as we seem to be going through a pretty high spend year, and dh is not frugal at all and I think the temptation would be high. Only other option is to secretly save some I suppose.:undecided

On the other hand, the problems with work have been dragging on for 3 years now and we are still in the same place so maybe I should just carry on with oping as usual, its hard to know what to do for the best.

Argh! deleted the same post twice now.

I've been trying to make a plan of extra expenses we will have next year that the budget does not cover :
    • £440 merlin annual passes (more important than a holiday according to the kids!)
    • £150 dd's prom
    • £150 big party for dd's 16th
    • £200 weekend away with dh
    • £700 family/friends birthdays not in monthly budget
I can pay for the annual passes with a spare week's money from dh's wages as he gets paid weekly, we also would like to go away at some point, but I think we will either go camping in the tent we bought but did not use this year, or sell it and ebay some other stuff as well and book a cheap caravan or a purple hotel room for a few days near a theme park.

It would be great to plan a special holiday as dd won't be coming on many more with us and we have never travelled far with them all, but the next year it will be driving lessons/car etc. the year after maybe uni  So I think I need to stay frugal and try not to make excuses why this year is "special" and we should spend more than usual.

Woo hoo, £34 plus postage for a thorpe park ticket that cost £18:j You can still buy them online for £27 so I'm guessing some days must be sold out. Now, do I post it straight away or wait for payment?
