    Hi Newgirly.
Can I ask if you are still pleased with your airer? I have been looking online today and can't make my mind up as some reviews are not so good. Thanks
PS We have just done the driving lessons and also uni starts next year (Hopefully!) so I know what you mean about being frugal!

Great result on the ticket sale.
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • Wow I can't believe someone paid that for an £18 ticket! Or was it only £18 to you and actually if they wanted a ticket they'd have to pay more than £34 - in which case everyone's a winner!!!
    MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.

Morning NG i have heated airer, not a tiered one.i like it but do find you have to continuously move the items around as obviously the heat only gets to the bit of the item the item is resting on.
towels etc i tend to lay over the top to try and get them touching as many bars as possible.
    xx

I have the three tiered Lakeland one - I normally have the top two tiers full, and I throw a single bed sheet over the top ... And agree you sometimes have to move stuff around as bits get dry ... But it is so much more robust than the other one I had ... (With no heat!!)

That being said I forgot to switch the heaty doodah on yesterday and today I was out meeting a prospective client, duh!

They have paid :j it was a bounce back thorpe park ticket that you get cheaper if you are at the park, they were selling discounted tickets for £27.40 online still but I'm guessing some days must have been sold out, it still works out cheaper than the on the door price which is £45 or so.

Hi steadwell, I think I am pleased with it! It takes longer than I thought, but has meant the heating is still off of all the time, if its fully loaded up with a sheet over it takes 24 hours to dry , but if you lay stuff on to of the shelves its dry in a few hours. There are 5 of us so its fully loaded up and on ALL the time, but I've not used the dryer or radiators or any other airers since I got it, so am more organised. I should say though that the bottom shelf if you fill every rail is very slow - like a normal airer.

Still so much to do this week. I've been doing a job for dh as he has not got time to do it, very delicate and valuble and tedious! We were all going to comic con ( a geeky exhibition in london :D) tomorrow, however i don't think I can finish this job and get everything sorted before we go away sunday so I might have to stay home and let dh and little brother go with the kids.:(

Just been on the nationwide house price index and our house is worth (based on what we paid for it) : £244,219. Everytime I've used this calculator it has come back lower than sale prices nearby and the banks own valuation, plus we have had work done and put a conservatory on. So I think its a fairly conservative estimate which I am going to use , maybe round it up to £245K as its easier.
Based on that value, to get to a 50% ltv at the next re-mortgage in may 2014 I will have to have a balance of £122,500.

The op calculator I use shows that If I make my £1507 pm payments then by may 2014 the balance will be £124,751 which is not too far off, to hit the desired figure I would have to op an extra £178 pm and then I would be £4 under the 50% ltv:D

So total monthly payments from next month of £1685  Hmm, I wonder if I can ebay the cats :rotfl:
