            Just a quick update
Daughter and friend got rebooked at palma airport for thursday, they were given claim forms for accommidation costs and have went back to the hotel they were already in along with others on their flight. They were not given help with transfers as they wanted to return to their own hotel instead of one closer to airport but the hotel they were in was AI so at least their food covered. Easyjet did not tell them if their was a limit on accommidation costs but the place they are staying told them they could stay on for 25 euros a day so not to much.
They were lucky as some people in queue was beeing booked for next saturday and one couple for 1st May!!! Just a pity they are on an island and have no other way home.TOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -

I know I might be worrying for nothing, but I'm due to fly to the USA on the 29th April from Manchester.
What's the likelihood of things being clear by then?
Without the aid of a Crystal ball it is hard to tell. That said, generalising the situation, with people on long haul flights into and out of Europe having bookings cancelled and knocked back 5 days or more, flights cancelled today are being rescheduled for the 22nd, thus it won't take much more disruption to affect the 29th.

            quote from sky news.
Budget carrier ryanair said it had halted all scheduled flights to and from the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Holland, northern France, northern Germany, Poland and the Baltic States until 1pm on Monday.
Ireland has also closed its airspace until at least 5pm.0 -

Thanks for the reply.
I'm just worried slightly as it's my first time going back home in years.0 -
If you are stranded abroad ie no money and no way to get home then the consulate should be able to advise British passport holders. They can't give you money but they can tell you how to arrange for money to be transferred from the UK.

Hi everyone, need a bit of help. Currently in Malta and our flight tomorrow morning has been cancelled.
Contacted Air Malta and even after quoting the EU regulation 261/2004 about accommodation costs/food/drinks they are refusing to provide any financial support whatsoever and I am getting a brick wall. Really have no money to pay for extra hotel nights/food etc. Can i contact the embassy or something? No idea here.0
