1* can i choose any other day to flight ( they flight to malaga daily) or they will tell me my options...
2* will it be free or will i have to pay the difference ?

1* you can choose a flight where there is currently a seat available, obviously you can't be booked on a full flight. I've also seen people write that the new flight has to be within the next 30 days.
2* not sure on this, I would have thought it should be free.

Theoretically, according to what others have posted, as you are flying within the EU the airline should look after you between the time of your original flight and the new flight. I don't know whether this extends to food if you stay at home.

Hi - has anyone tried to claim a refund on their flight and been charged an admin fee? My brother's Hong Kong Cathay Pacific flight was cancelled today and the next available trip was on 28th but this is useless, as he was going to a funeral on 22nd. Cathay quoted a £200 admin fee!!! And they could only offer a deferred flight to 30th - so he can't take an option of going to Hong Kong later on in the year!

Just to say on the Cathay Pacific flight they were stating if you wanted a refund you would receive the full amount with no fees. I had to request a refund for my wife and clearly stated FULL REFUND.

My Wife has decided to make the move from Milan after her friend taking her in for a few days. So Tuesday she is planning Milan to Geneva to Paris to London.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket from Eurostar for her on the last train on Tuesday night even with the website failing. She is booked in business class as it was the first one that worked. OK it will cost more but we can put a letter together because Lufthansa have failed.

I noticed quite a few people on here complaining about not getting away on holiday and it ruining their travel plans.

All I can say is that think about it... the airlines won't sent someone off on holiday, away from their own country when there is 100's or possibly 1000's of stranded people at that airport who need your plane seat to get back home.

I am currently stranded on holiday in California, although booked on the next available flight to Heathrow NEXT SATURDAY (if it goes ahead!), but our family are lucky because we have come back to my sister's house in San Diego.

Please think before you complain about not going on holiday... there are many people who only have airport floors as a bed for the unforseeable future.

So will Lufthansa pay you compensation for the extra expense over and above what you had paid them for a flight?

Can anyone give some advice on the following? We were due to go on a package holiday today booked with Holiday Gems . They called to confirm that holiday was cancelled and that the airline had agreed to refund them the value of our flights which would be refunded to us. However the booking agent they had used refused to refund them the money for our accomodation as this situation was an 'act of God' therefore they would not be refunding our money, nor could they offer us an alternative holiday, and that they were not liable.

Holiday Insurance is not covering us , an 'act of God'

Visa is not covering us , 'an act of God '

We took the 3 steps we believed would protect us
    1. ATOL protection
    2. Insurance
    3. Booking by Visa

    Can anyone help?
