What's the chances of Edinburgh - Heathrow- Chicago-Minneapolis on Monday?

If I were the airline I would be looking at the possibility of getting as many pax as possible with this type of booking onto transalantic flights straight from Scotland instead... Who knows if they a) have any such flights or b) have the resources to think through all such combinations, though.

I give it about 60:40 positive on whether you can fly personally. But that is pure guesswork.

Anyone have any news on flybe flights . Were cancelling up to 1300 tomorrow as of earlier today and promised update on website at 2100. No news yet . My flight is 1400 tomorrow and is probably cancelled but I'd rather know one way of the other before I go to bed.

Thanks for the advice given to me earlier folks - can I pick your brains again for this new 'dilemna' -

My return ticket was Newark-Glasgow. The return leg was cancelled (Wed) - rebooked Copenhagen-Glasgow, also cancelled. I am now rebooked on to a Newark-London flight for Tues (and on standby for Bristol!!)

In the event that this London flight is also cancelled, what would my rights be then? There are other flights leaving to Glasgow which the people who were already booked onto are on.

    Anyone have any idea?

    Thanks

You don't have much in the way of 'rights' per se under Continental's contract of carriage given that this is a force majeure situation. (and that Continental isn't a European carrier - I imagine that will figure in a lot of people's transalantic thinking in future?)

Probably if your rebooked flight is cancelled as well, Continental will re-rebook you onto another flight which well could be a Glasgow flight (if you like) according to the current policy for this particular event that is outlined on their website.

    http://www.continental.com/web/en-US/content/news/travelnotices.aspx

"If you would like to change your travel to an alternate flight in Europe and obtain ground transportation at your expense, no fee will apply."
