    It would only be the additional guests where VAT would be charged at 20% VAT, I can send you the link to HMRC website if the venue are telling you something else

    That would be handy, it wasn't the venue telling us that, it was my understanding from the hmrc website, but I may have misread it.

    Little light reading above.

    section 2.6 & 14.3 especially where it gives an example of deposits.

    I have been walking around with a sulky look all week becuase the bluebells are out early and I wanted my pictures taken in a bluebell wood, it was the only pro in my mind for the barn reception venue I have. I even wince when I drive past them in the car, poor little flowers.

    Have possibly lost my mind somewhere since starting wedding planning!

    I know how you feel aarchk...we went to the zoo on Friday and I kept looking at the gardens and wishing they could stay that way til October. I even got as far as trying to convince myself that the light would be similar in October to April, and if the weather was as nice then photos in certain places would work. I go to the zoo loads as I'm a member but now I'm torturing myself on every visit!

    Haha no that would be much simpler if I forced everyone to come naked! I have been looking at gloves and or long shawl type things I could wear with my dress to hide parts of me that most my family find repulsive and no doubt a lot of oh family will too =\

    Yeah I need to find some nice long gloves or some cover up make up. I haven't yet found anything suitable!

    If you want cover up make-up try the red cross you have to be referred by your gp but their camaflouge clinics are really great depening on the sort of thing you want to cover. They test out loads till the find the right match and give you a letter with the details on and then you can either get it on prescription or you can buy your matches. Unfortunately camoflauge didn't work at all for me so my only other option is surgery but I am not sure about that and I might not be able to get it on the nhs. fun times =\

    Arrrrgh. Yet another friend got engaged and her wedding is going to be less than 2 months before ours.

    I'm really happy and excited for her, but my inner petulant toddler is stomping her feet.

    Stop getting married before me!!!!

    I did do, there wasn't much they could do, the colour doesn't match very well, it's too dark (I'm a peculiar colour and the areas that need covering are raised and almost silver!)

    Code monkey: How dare they do that!

    haha I know!! I didn't say I was being rational! :rotfl::rotfl:

    Not sure what to suggest about covering the scars. Elbow length gloves can look really glamorous, but would probably get too hot.
