I am a Bridezilla and my confession is....

Yeah it meant a lot to us to have her do it as she is our friend and I think personally I would have stuck to my word but there you go. Thankfully I still have a year to organise something else.
Oh justme people are so inconsiderate!!
Organising a wedding is hard enough without other people causing problems. I've had both mothers trying to tell me who to invite, who to walk me down the aisle, what flowers to have, how I should have my make up :mad:Married 30/08/14 :heartpuls0 -
Ok confession time - I've been looking at wedding dresses pretty much ever since OH proposed a couple of months back.
I've just found the PERFECT dress... BUT... I don't have dress money saved up yet and the wedding just junder under 2 years away.
My bridezilla moment is therefore wanting my dress NOW even though it's ages away and I don't have the pennies for it yet.
Bizzarely enough when we decided to change which end of the country we were looking at getting married I was less narked than I am about the dress, even though I'd already booked viewings at a couple of different venues which was a PITA.
Ah well - I shall put it down to "time of the month" hormones and just keep looking at the pretty pictures.Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0 -

For her it would have just been 30mins-1hour and she does jazz/soul. I'm fairly open about it though now that she can't do it and I need to get someone else.Married 30/08/14 :heartpuls0 -
Hi Sazzarella. To be absolutely honest, it may be difficult to source someone who'd only do an hours set if it's a weekend wedding in the summer because they'd be giving up a diary date that they could get a full set (and the accompanying higher fee). Summer Saturdays fill up quick too.
I'll pm you the websites of a few singers I know of in and around the Edinburgh area, I don't know their fees though or whether they'd be to your taste but you can judge from the videos on their sites and ask them what their fee would be. Booking direct with them might also be cheaper than going to an agency but I can give you the details of agencies too if you like.0 -
Gah! I've a couple of people who haven't responded by the rsvp by date, which is a little irritating but I can chase them. What's irritating me is the one guest who has responded twice via different people with different answers!
His mum (my aunt) wrote with her apologies saying she's not really well enough to travel but he's coming and looking forward to it. Then the next day his sister text to say her and her hubby are coming but her bro can't make it cos he's working away.
Frankly I don't care either way at this stage, I just want to know so I can invite friends in his place that I don't currently have room for at the day reception. But how pathetic is that, telling his mother he's going then his sister that he's not. I don't know when each spoke to him so which is the more recent update.
He's in his 40s, btw, not some teenager.
I think I'll assume he isn't and if he turns up on the day he won't get dinner because it's his own stupid fault for being too lazy to reply himself.0 -
I may have turned into a Bridezilla lately!
I want a small wedding which doesn't include his family that he only ever sees at weddings and funerals! I want people that we'll actually be seeing after the wedding to be there!0
