Can I post a post-wedding BZ rant? I'm raging and upset that hardly any of my friends took photos at our wedding At their weddings, I took hundreds of pics and made a huge effort to capture all the little details (in one case at the bride's request! She later said that my pics were as good as her photographer's). But it seems that they just couldn't be arsed doing the same for me.

One of them did take a handful - on her ancient phone! Needless to say they were rubbish. Another didn't even bother bringing her new super duper SLR and took *no* pics at all. I took loads at her wedding and sent them all to her afterwards.

To make it worse, the same group of girls attended another friend's wedding 2 months before mine and took TONS of pics and uploaded them all to FB 2 days later. So they can make the effort when they want to. I feel very hurt.

Let this be a warning to those who rely on friends to take wedding pics for them. Thankfully we had 2 amazing pro photographers, but I am sad that we don't have that many candid snaps from my friends.

OH's friends took more pics than mine!

Wanchi - I would take the lack of photos as meaning that your guests were probably having too much fun celebrating to take snaps!

yes my wedding so where am i? dont title it my wedding when myself or my new husband are nowhere to be seen!!

I'm with Rainbowdrops on this one. My best friend tried to take some pictures at my wedding and you could tell she was getting more and more merry as the photos got more and more blurry. I reckon your wedding was far too much fun to be taking pics wanchai! Oh, and to be honest after a while you won't really look at many of your photos anyway - the good professional ones are more likely to be on display.

One of our friends, who played in OH's reformed-for-four-songs-only band, entitled his Facebook album as 'Sabbracadabra reunion gig (and Mrs and Mrs Deks wedding). His priorities were clear!

Thanks for your kind comments, but honestly I just think that they couldn't be arsed. I've been to weddings which were amazing craic and still managed to take a couple of dozen photos!

If they had even *brought* cameras and then were having too good a time to take pics, that's one thing, but some didn't even bother to bring their camera. But they managed to bring them to this other girl's wedding and use them. One of their FB albums (from the other wedding) had 180 pics in it!! I really am hurt. They all know how much I love photos and I'd said to them before the wedding how much I was loking forward to seeing their photos.

Nothing I can do now though

I wouldn't even have minded if OH and I weren't in most of them, tbh. It's the snaps of guests enjoying themselves that I wanted to see. Of course, we got some, but not many.

Wanchi it would annoy me too. I was thinking about putting disposable cameras on the table but after the last wedding I went to I changed my mind. One of the girls on the table I was on took 24 photos of her and her mates cleavage and the bottles on the table. I'd be well p****ed off if I'd paid to get them developed.... I'm sure OH wouldn't mind the cleavage shots though.

Is it so hard to show a little interest in the pictures I'm showing you of balloon ideas I spent hours trawling the Internet for??? After all it was you that wanted balloons. Tell you what you play on FIFA and I'll pick them.... when they cost substantially more than you expected don't come whinging to me!!!

You cannot ask your groomsmen to pay for their own suit hire! I don't care if some have offered to pay for their own, you cannot ask the rest it's just wrong.

Am intrigued by this, we're hoping to pay for our bridal party stuff but OH has been to three weddings in last 2 years where groomsmen paid for their own, including when he was best man...interesting!

Mine to add today... i don't care how laid back we've been for the last year, it's now 5 months away with xmas in between and you NEED to go sort out suits and rings!!
