You never know she might not even want to be in the photos. When me and OH had only been together about 6 months I went with him to his step brothers blessing and I hadn't ever met his step brother. When they had family photos take all OHs immediate family dragged me into the photos!
All I kept thinking is when they get these photos they probably aren't even going to know my name! As what happens if we split up (not that I thought we would but you never know) god it would be awkward!0 -
I am a bridezilla and my confessions are:
1) I suddenly and stupidly had this craving to go to Vegas for my hen do! I absolutely knew no one would be able to afford it but it's one of those ridiculous things that I want and cant have *stamps feet*
2) All of a sudden I have become obsessed with blinking pearls...I mean come on?!! I have never liked them, never worn them but it's like someone has flicked a switch and everything has to have pearls. I really hope this obsession !!!!!!s off soon or I'll be parting with some cold hard cash to add them to anything and everything :rotfl:
3) I bought a lovely Tiara at a wedding fair and it goes really well with my dress...BUT, I kinda wanted a side tiara before I bought the normal one and now I keep looking at them and thinking how lovely they are....it's all I can do to stop myself from buying one...with pearls!!
4) I want to meet with the silk flower lady to sort out what I want and get a price but she is busy with OTHER BRIDES, !!!!!!?! Surely I am the most important person in her calendar right now and she should be tripping over herself to fit me in rather than making me wait until next month.
I blame the heat

Step slowly away from the pearls JTR,
But seriously, don't forget to post what you've bought :-)Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I know I'll end up buying some pearls, I just have to have them, it's like being pregnant and craving ice cream
Just going to see what other pearl related items take my fancy...

I think I may have had my first Bridezilla moment...
I went to look at wedding venues with my mum the other week (we were supposed to see two but got a mini tour of a third) and really liked one of them. Said venue is not a hotel but is smack bang in the middle of the city where we want to get married and there are loads of hotels nearby. One of the three I looked at was a hotel, and I quite liked it, and I did have a couple of other hotels on the 'potential' list after initial investigations but decided against them, one because it was a bit far out of town and the other because it was ridiculously expensive.
My mum has now told me that she thinks the hotel that's further out of town is better than the other venue because it's small and therefore my sisters and OH's sister will be able to leave their kids in the rooms with them and their partners tag-teaming to check on them and so won't have to leave the reception early (the kids will be seven, four and two at the time of the wedding). She's also suggested a second similar hotel a bit further out as an alternative, and from what I've seen of them although they're both OK from the outside I'm just not all that keen - they seem a bit too 'set' in terms of the packages and maybe a little bit dark and 'dated' on the inside, although I know you can change that a bit. OH doesn't like the one of them he's been to either and both of us liking the venue is one of the things I felt was quite important. The hotel I sort of liked is apparently no good because it's too big and we wouldn't have the run of it, whereas with these other two it's likely we'd book out almost the whole place.
I get where she's coming from about people just being able to go upstairs whenever they want rather than faffing with getting tired kids into cars/cabs etc, and I know that I should just forget the one I like and get one of the practical ones instead. But even though I feel like a brat and that I'm being horribly inconsiderate to my sisters' and future sister-in-law's enjoying the wedding by seemingly saying 'no' straight off, I just don't like the other two places as much!

Choose the place that *you* like best - it's *your* wedding, not your sister's!!!0

What Joolz said!
As a compromise though, is there a quiet area in the venue which you could set up as a chill/sleep room? Put some big cushions in there & the kids could go sleep without your sister leaving early0
