I'm having a Bridezilla moment all but one member of OH's family haven't bothered to return their RSVP. I know they are coming as they have booked rooms but it too much to ask out politeness that they return their bl**dy RSVP's!!! I went to a lot of trouble making the invites and all they have to do is cross one bit out and put a blinking stamp on the envelope grrrrrrrr
We also have 2 friends who have said they are coming but haven't returned the RSVP's it's driving me mad!!!!!!!

I didn't bother putting a card in with the invitation, but did state how to RSVP - by email, phone, letter (I;m not bothered how, just tell me lol!)0 -
On the subject of RSVPs, does a text message saying "Thank you for the invitation x" constitute a yes or a no?!?!0

Why can't people just respond simply?! :rotfl: I've had lord knows how many messages like the above and ONE saying "Thanks for the invite, we'd love to come"... Gunna be one heck of an empty room if the others are all No's! :rotfl:0 -

They were all from people we'd hand delivered to. Not had a peep from those we posted, even though I KNOW they were delivered today :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: (yes I know everyone is at work and won't actually get them until they get home this evening, but still :rotfl: )
Only one of the seven invitations we have sent for the daytime do has responded and they were sent over two weeks ago. These are the ones we need as well, as they've got a choice of menu. I put a date of 31st July so on 1st August they will be getting a telling off!!
Note to self: Whilst I may have been lax in the past, from now on I will respond to any wedding invitation the INSTANT that I receive it so that I don't inflict this Bridezilla RSVP on anyone else!0 -
Hello, can I join in here please? I've just read this whole thread over the last few days and have to say some of you deserve sainthoods (or whatever women get) for some of the family / friends grief and other nightmares you're putting up with!
I haven't had any BZ moments as yet, although our wedding is sort of planned, it's not booked and I'm hoping OH doesn't change his mind
We've been together 16 years, engaged for 9.5. Although we got engaged to get married neither of us have been bothered about doing it before, so we haven't. Recently though we've talked about the legal side of things, being each others proper next of kin, entitlement to pensions etc and so we've decided to do it. OH would like to sign a form and that's that, he's very against any kind of fuss (well we both are actually) though I'd at least like it to be a bit more than just nipping off to the registry office (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Anyway, as of today we've booked to go to Vegas in May 2013 followed by a South American honeymoon. I've found a company in Vegas I really like the look of (but not booked ceremony yet). We'll be asking our parents to come and no one else (hoping they'll say yes, my mum's not a good flyer but I'll look like this if she won'tbecause I want all the parents to come or none (which OH agrees with). I'm worried he might freak out and change his mind
, even though we're doing it in 'secret'. OH has agreed I can tell a couple of close friends otherwise I might burst, but he really really doesn't want everyone to know as then there definitely will be a fuss. So, we'll do it, come back and say 'yey, we got married!'
So, re a dress, I've looked at loads (though only online) and so far I like one proper wedding dress (well it's a 2 piece actually) and also a prom dress that's purple. Is there anyone else not having a traditional wedding dress? I love the purple, I think it will suit me better (I'm v pale) but I'm not sure what mum will think!0 -
It doesn't matter what your mum thinks - if you want purple, green or sky-blue pink with polka dots you have it, it's your wedding
Good luck!

I knew that's what you'd say as it's what I'd say to someone :rotfl:. She's the last person who'd be a mumzilla, but I don't want her to be disappointed after waiting all these years and I don't know if it will feel odd being in what's likely to be a bridesmaids dress. Clearly I need to try things on!
