i text you over an hour ago i said were sorry but due to us not budgeting for our eldest leaving primary and starting secondary and all the stuff they need costing loads weve had to shave the day guest list down, hope your still ok to come to the evening do?

NoAngel I (well my mum) was having the same issue with my dad's parents this week while they were up constant stupid questions like how are they going to get from the hotel to the venue ect. They seem totally unable to sort anything themselves yet they travel all over the world.

Plus MIL2B is up to her usual tricks (God she makes me soooo mad!) She is just so needy and raises objections to EVERYTHING yet she has not put her hand in her pocket once! She now wants OH to take a weekend off work to go to hers and book her hotel and train. He has two brothers both use the internet A LOT (you can guess what for lol) why can't they do it!

I'm yet another who has a family who have suddenly become completely incapable of doing anything for themselves. WHY?!?!


On another note, SIL2B asked when we gave the inlaws their invitation where hers was... We said she's included on that (she still lives at home with them) and we're only really giving them an invitation so that they can see the menu choice as they already know all of the other details and she replied with "Haven't I got a +1?"

No you flipping well haven't! You're not with anyone and we're only having 14 guests to the ceremony - neither of my sisters are bringing +1s even though they're in relationships (the youngest has a child with her OH, but is actually happy he's not coming so she can have a few child-free hours!)

It's not until you're actually planning a wedding that you realise how useless people become :rotfl: Everyone manages perfectly well to arrange transport from A to B the other 364 days in the year, they all get up and manage to get dressed themselves, to feed themselves; I just don't get why they loose this because they get an invite to a wedding.

As for +1s, people can be sooooo rude.

Grrr +1 hate that word lol

I have OH friends coming that I have never met which annoyed me anyway as some of them live in London and have never been bothered to come meet us or visit ect but 1 of them wants a +1 "just in case" he is going out with someone the nerve :mad:

Then another couple who again I have never met are getting married 2 weekends before us as it is Easter I'm going to Scotland to sort out final bits take advantage of the long weekend. They are annoyed that we have let them down cause we can't go I explained that we will be busy finalising things and she put the phone down on me :eek:

I feel hugely bridezilla ish right now...just heard that my cousin, who got engaged about a month after I did, is getting married 3 months before me. I know it's not a big deal or anything and doesn't matter but I was the first cousin to get engaged and I was really looking forward to being the first to get married. It's ridiculous but I sort of feel like my thunder is stolen I know I'm stupid but for some bizarre reason I feel really upset!
