I was coming on to say a similar thing!

I sent out my Save the Dates on Saturday and I know they have arrived because some friends texted me on Monday. But I have not had a WORD from any of my family, including my Granda who has not even said congratulations to me on getting engaged, or anything. All my family have me on Facebook so there's nothing to stop them just acknowledging they have received them. I know, I know, it's not an invite, it doesn't need an RSVP or anything, but...if I received a Save the Date from someone I'd drop them a quick FB msg just saying "Oooh got your Save The Date, how exciting, it's going in my diary!" or something like that.

Can I have my first bridezilla rant?

Quite a few people know now that we are getting married next year, OH told his parents about two weeks ago and told his oldest brother last weekend but he has another brother and a sister. I said to him a few days ago that he needed to let the others know asap as it was the sort of thing that would slip out and I know his sister would be really upset/annoyed if she didn't hear it first hand.

I just spoke to him and he said he has told his sister as he was dropping round a birthday card for his niece, the conversation went a bit like this:

OH: 'guess who is getting married next year?'
Her: 'Err....you?'
OH: 'Yep! Next September'
Her: 'what do you want to do that for?'

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Those of you who know me from WFAP know how hard a slog it has been to get to this stage and comments like that have already made his postpone it once. She had a messy split from her husband a few years back after he left her for another woman and I totally understand that she is still hurting but that doesn't mean everyones marriage ends up like that. Could she not have just said something nice, even if she didn't mean it.

I am so upset, I don't understand why people can't just be happy for us?

To be honest, she has always been really blunt and rude but even I hadn't expected that. I don't want to say too much to OH because it is his sister and I know he's probably annoyed at her too but I think I will quickly start to wish that we were going abroad.....
