I think I was lucky with my photographer. He cost £400 and we keep the copyright. We decided that was more important than a professionally bound album.0

I don't want "regular" wedding music, I want something I can listen to again and I don't care if most people won't know what it is, most of my guests will. We're having take that !as 'everyone likes take that'... I don't, I like rock music and so do you so why choose music we wouldn't normally listen too?!? Surely at least one song should be what i like. You vito everything i suggest as people don't like them or they wont know who it is or they're like marmite.!
Damn it its my day too and i don't want regular wedding music, i want at least some of the music to reflect our taste.
!Grrrrr stupid man, at this rate I won't walk in to anything cos I'll be damned of I'm walking in to something I don't like because it's the norm!!!!! Since when have I been normal?!? Rant over
I didn't have a problem with my DH agreeing to the music it was trying to find the cd of it as we agreed to use the music Metallica walk out to at their concerts but the only cd it was on was S&M and there was a lot of cheering and clapping so ended up using the original Ennio Moriconne (sp?) one, then we both chose a song each for the signing (Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and Calling London by 3 Doors Down) and I put my foot down to have Dream Catch Me by Newton Faulkner as the walk out song.
Show this to your OH and hopefully it helps him see that you don't have to follow everyone else's idea of tradition. I wore trainers as I couldn't find shoes due to stupid feet lol and I also wore crop leggings underneath as I knew I would chafe otherwise :rotfl:
Good luck and remember it's the day that matters but having what you want makes it better.

Thanks everyone for the words of advice but I won’t need them….I found out that the whole “it sounds like a funeral song” was code for “it was mine and my ex’s song”, which has kind of p****ed me off a little as we don’t have a song and if he had just told me that in the first place it would have saved a lot of effort on my part.
So now to find something else that I can walk down the aisle to. I'm leaning towards Scott D. Davis "The Renewal - I - Lament" off the same metallica tribute album, I may not tell him this time though and just tell him it's a surprise.0 -
I am a bridezilla and my confession is:
I am kind of glad (ok- i am glad) that MiL2B has said that her mum can not come to the wedding! Trying to do a table plan with out ending up with a reject table was awful! Now there is no reject table, and OHs sisters don't have to spend the whole day keeping her away from certain people! But I then feel very guilty about feeling glad, as she was saying that she was looking forward to it.... But she hasn't left London for 15 years! We r getting married in the country...:T0 -

alioops78 - we're having Dream Catch Me as our walk out song too
I was torn between it being that and for signing the register - wanted N.F. to be the first thing I heard as a Mrs lol. And I considered the leggings for that reason too! Went for a pair of marks' "control shorts" instead
leggings are less embarrassing!

I am hoping on the basis that he'd never heard of Scott Davis and that the song is actually inspired by metallica that it isn't but that is a very good point. Think I'll ask him for a list of ex's songs... mind you if he comes back with a long list I may well end up a widow before I'm a bride :rotfl:0 -

NF was always going to a part of it and was torn between it being the signing or the walking out but thought it was more appropriate for the walking out as you do feel like it's been a dream
Was running short on funds so the leggings were chosen and caused a few moments of hilarity when they started to fall down and the new hubby had to get under my dress to pull them up - this wasn't in front of the guests but on a main road whilst waiting for the rest of the bridal party to arrive for the photo's, it was alright to start with as there was no traffic but then the lights changed:rotfl:

At first I read this as MIL2B has said that she can't go and I was going to ask for tips as to how you managed that :rotfl:0 -
Oh no! :rotfl: :rotfl: sorry, no tips on that!:T0
