  • MIL2B has her outfit sorted for the wedding. I haven't seen it, but all I do know is it's the outfit she bought for her daughter's wedding, ten years ago, and decided not to wear it and bought something else for that. Am I wrong to feel annoyed???

:eek:10 years ago?! I wouldn't be offended that she's changed her mind about wearing it, but may be offended that it's been sitting around so long! However, don't get too stressed about her outfit... you've plenty of other things to keep you occupied I expect!

    Yes.......
Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!
  • MIL2B told us that even though she has a big wedding anniversary and birthday next year, they won't afford to celebrate because we're getting married the year after! We don't want anything from them money or present-wise, only for them to turn up, but she makes us feel so guilty! We thought we were doing them a favour by giving them plenty of notice but now I wish we'd sprung it on them at the last minute so we could avoid 18 months of guilt trips lol

My 18 year old sister announced on Xmas day that she's pregnant, dropping out of uni, and moving in with her scrubber of a boyfriend (they've only been together a few months). She's behaved appallingly, selfishly and immaturely since she told everyone, and my mum and dad are in bits about it all.

How am I supposed to have fun planning my wedding when my family is falling apart?! We're only having 14 guests to the ceremony so any family rifts will be really obvious :-(

Angel - that is a mean thing of your mil to do. You should point out to her that you are not going to be asking for money therefore she should be able to hold the parties she wants.

Roz - I hope things settle down for you. I am sure they will once your family get over the shock. your sister is probably hormonal and scared - no excuse for bad behaviour, but hopefully she will calm down once she gets used to it all.

    4. If you are going to get engaged after us, please don't get married before us.
    That is all.

Oh, this makes me feel a bit :o as we got engaged after a friend of mine but are getting married before them. I wonder if they're put out! But then they're having a 2-year engagement! Surely everyone they know can't be expected to hold off getting married for two years? :o

    My Bridezilla moments:

Don't complain that the day will be too long because the ceremony is at 12pm. Don't come if you have somewhere better to be.

Don't think that you can find a boyfriend in the next few months and then bring him to the wedding just so that you can bring a 'plus 1'. Even if you meet him and are married by then, I still haven't budgeted for your plus one. (Because you've been single since i've known you!)

MIL and FIL WILL stay until the end of the day, however early they think they are leaving. We are booking you a room in the hotel just to ensure this.

I don't care what dress colour goes best with YOUR complexion, i have 3 bridesmaids all of varying colour (white, mixed race and black) and therefore you will just have to accept that nothing can fully complement you all.

    LoL
