Thanks, white sapphire. I am still irritated! I really shouldn't be. We will still have a number of people coming, and no matter what it will be fun. MeganMay GC - £100 per week

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH. I am now so annoyed with people not making any effort at all that I have asked a friend to take over the organising of our stag/hen do. It is best that way before I really loose my temper with the next person who comes up with some rubbish excuse.

MEgan
Aw Megan - sending huge hugs <hugs>
If it's any consolation, my hen night ended up being a few drinks at home, setting off sky lanterns (the biggest laugh of the night!), 10 pin bowling (with alcoholic slush puppies ), over to the casino, and ended at a curry house, then back to mine.
Too many people backed out of the weekend in a cottage when it came time to collect deposits!
It ended up just being 6 of us, so many cried off last minute with illness  but we had the biggest laugh, because the 5 people who were there were my bestest friends (& sister) and we regressed back 20 years!
Whatever happens, the people who DO attend will make the night for you - not what you do or who lets you down xxxxxThe newest Mrs Lindley...... I married my Welsh Soulmate on 11-11-11 xxx0 -

Thank you Nickki. I know we will have a great time, but I do feel so let down by them all. One girl has said the weekend 'Isn't convenient' for her and her partner, yet only a few months ago I went for a whole weekend, paid a fortune for hers and didn't once consider whether it was 'convenient' etc. I think a different friend of mine hit the nail on the head when she said what was most disappointing was the fact that they are making no effort. Even if they suggested doing something else, but they don't.

I know - I felt let down and thought I wasn't going to enjoy the night (Bowling! with my nails very carefully cultivated for the wedding!!) but the girls are still talking about it now - and about having a hen night part 2 night out in January!!
It is disappointing now, and nothing will make you feel better about realising that some people aren't the people you thought they were, but conversely, some people will surprise you!!
Ask them all to suggest something they can afford/do want to do and work with the thing that appeals to YOU the most, this is YOUR hen night, and the people who love you will be there

Thanks Nickki,
I will stop goin on about it, I really sound a horror! My friend has agreed to help me organise it and I suspect she might let epople know if she thinks they are being a bit unreasonable!

Of course you don't sound like a horror!
But try to sit back and let her take the strain - my MoH organised mine (hence the bowling! lol) and she kept it a surprise until the day of the do.... Do you think yours will do that for you? Give her all the names and numbers, and ask her to tell you where to be, at what time and how to dres?
the only stress i had (after the weekend debacle was put to bed!) was worrying about what she was planning! The newest Mrs Lindley...... I married my Welsh Soulmate on 11-11-11 xxx0 -
My BM is organising my hen do too and I am excited to see what she decides on. I have given her details of things I would happily do and things I would rather not do, other than that she has free choice! I can't wait. We have been friends for years so she knows me well enough to do a great job I am sure.0
