nykied - Sorry if I caused offence it was really not meant to. I have had a nana who had to have a double mastectomy and reconstruction.
The idea of this thread is that we can rant and let off steam about things that are sometimes deemed as silly or selfish hence the name bridezilla.
My wedding certainly hasn't set this off as she has been a bridesmaid before for her sister. There is a lot more to my friend other than this so the full story is not on here. I was just letting off steam like everyone else.0 -

Nah, I was only joking - I put aafter it to show I was - cosmetic fakes are different to fakes that you had to have done - I personally would never have had cosmetic fakes!
I understand this thread - I'm only engaged and not yet properly planning my wedding, but I love reading through it because it gives me some idea about what I'm going to be like :eek:0 -
The reception venue is just over an hour from where my granny lives, but both me and my mum had spoken to her seperately and she'd said how much she was looking forward to it all and that she'd be happy to stay in a hotel for the night... Then she came out with that, and the thing that annoyed me most was that she is expecting my dad to take her home between the meal & the reception, but it's a 60 mile detour and would leave my mum & sisters without transport. Apparently my dad suggested a taxi but she turned her nose up at it - at which point he became a DadZilla and said that if she was going to be awkward she could jolly well not come!! :rotfl: I wouldn't mind so much but OH & I had wanted to go abroad and get married on a beach but she can't travel and had said "I won't class you as being married if I'm not there to see it"
Also she keeps asking whether I'm getting married in white because "it's not really appropriate seeing as you already live together" :rotfl::rotfl:
Hope I can get away with being so blunt when I get to that age :rotfl:
The olds - they really are a law unto themselves. Hopefully she will decide to stay in a hotel then.
Tell her you are marrying in black ... as you never know what you may have to hide :rotfl:
That should keep her quite.

Ooops, sorry, didn't mean to cause offence.I meant the vanity boob jobs! Which are usually unfeasibly large...

I am a bridezilla because I got irrationally annoyed with my H2B when he tried to make me choose his sister's step-daughter as flowergirl. Erm, no. I have thought hard about who I want accompanying me down the aisle, and although said girl is lovely and would look very sweet, I am not close enough to her to warrant it.
Plus, it's MY DAMN DECISION, which I made months ago, and I'm not going to change it just cause someone else thinks it would be 'nice'!
rrrraaaawwwwwwrrrrrr.....
I managed not to snap, although I came close, and I know he only did it out of a desire to keep as many people happy as possible! Still, though..... :mad:Marrying my lovely man on 1st September 2012

This isnt so much a bridezilla moment, but recently I've been looking for things about myself that will make me look less than "perfect" on my wedding day. First off, is my weight issue, which I'm trying to address, then I didnt think my hair is going to be long enough to have my "dream style". Then the other day I decided I would try to get my eyebrows looking thicker, now in the past couple of days I've been looking up ways to get rid of my dark circles and (extremely minor) crows feet! The last two are just me reallising that I no longer have the skin of a teenager, and I know I can use make up to camouflage them, but I've still been researching creams, etc to reverse it!!0

I've had my first official bridezilla moment. When my OH and I get married we have to buy his mum's outfit since (as my OH put it) "she can't afford to buy one and will turn up in tracksuit bottoms and T-shirt". Thing is if she didn't waste her money she could afford it, the wedding is 19 months away why can't she give us a little bit of money each week to put away towards it instead of wasting it on !!!!!!.
My mum and dad don't have much money but my mum is paying for a car for her, my nana and his mum to go to the wedding in and paying me £10 per month until it's paid off.
He said last night that he was thinking £100 to buy her a suit so I said "in that case I'll knock £100 off the price of the car for my mum or give her £100 to get some clothes closer to the wedding" to which he replied "we can't afford that" I had to walk away at that point before I found a blunt object and beat him to death.
I'm so bloomin annoyed at him, we can afford to spend £100 on his mum who wastes her rent money and food money then comes scrounging to borrow money but not my mum(and dad) who for a start works hard to pay their mortage and bills who has lent us money not the other way round.0 -

Tell him that he can get the suit from a charity shop instead then0 -
Stir Crazy - It's rubbish not being a teen anymore, isn't it? I don't have enough hair for dream style either so have invested in some clip in extensions. I know they can look rubbish, but they can also be amazingly convincing and give you extra length/volume when required. Ask your hairdresser about them - I paid £40+vat from a hair supplier for real hair ones.
Also, good luck with the weight thing, I too am dieting, but I know my OH doesn't see the fat, he just sees me and loves me. Try and remember that when it is getting you down.
