I'm not buying them, she's bought them and has only just told me exactly what she has bought. I've tried explaining that they'll look like bridesmaids when there not as she replied "so people will know who your bridesmaids are as they'll see them walking down the aisle" - I want to wring her neck:eek:;)

Can you little bridesmaids / flowergirls have fairy wings so that they stand out? Obviously you won't be telling anyone about them beforehand! Although that would cause tantrums & upset the wedding service I guess :o

Actually I had a bridezilla moment when I had a strop over a couple of my very good friends saying that can't come because they are going to a music festival.... they happen every year, I'm getting married once!!!

Aw, that's a shame - you'd think they could miss one day of the festi to see their close friend get married!

    Thanks Chris!

I have just had a very bridezilla moment. I wasn't going to invite to the day stepbrother/sister because I don't see them and don't consider I know them and we wanted a small intimate ceremony. I don't dislike them so was going to invite them to the night. (I now resent them because I was guilted into inviting them.)

Was just speaking to dad about sisters surprise birthday party and how organising things is a nightmare, and he said you'll have the same after the wedding who should have gone to which bits. I said I already have and have had to invite people I didn't want there. He assumed I meant OH's family.

I corrected him. Very bluntly. And told him I didn't want them there, I don't see them or know them. And that I wish I had realised earlier it is our wedding and I had the right to say no. Poor bloke didn't know what to say. Glad I've said it but still!

Now realising why I have no friends.......

I was a groomzilla for about 2 mins, when I woke up at the hotel on the morning of the wedding to see it snowing like mad.

Initially I was concerned about guests getting there but thought sod it as long as the bride and the registrar make it I dont care.

It stopped snowing about 20 mins later and all was well, even the two rugrats that I didnt want there were delightful (I am a meanie)

My best man was useless he was more nervous than me and cried when he gave his speech, soft sod!

  • Absolutely brilliant thread, so thanks for starting it

OK here goes, and I apologise in advance! ..........

I am a Bridezilla (definitely not a secret one) and my confession is:

    - If any female guest wears white/cream/ivory I will chuck red wine over them
    - If any child screams or misbehaves in the church or wedding breakfast i will give them a chinese burn
    - If anyone thinks it's funny to make a stupid comment when it comes to the part about any reason why we can't get married I will poke them in the eye
    - I wish my MIL would be remotely interested in our Wedding (OH's 2nd marriage, but still)
    - If I hear anyone moan about the food I will ask them to leave
    - If there is one thing that is not how it should be I will throttle whoever's fault it is
    - I don't want any of our guests to get too drunk, incl me & OH!

Hmmm, for now that's about it!!!!! V x

Brilliant! I could have written this myself! :rotfl:

    Some of mine are
    - I don't want my friends OH to get drunk and then strip/breakdance/both (funny when its someone elses wedding, not so funny when its yours...)
    - Anyone commenting on the MSE nature of our wedding will be shown the door
-I don't want anyone to look better than me
    - I wouldn't be too bothered if most of OHs family didn't come

I'm sure there will be more as the months go on....
