I suppose all we can do is wait, it just seems so much harder than last year. However, i do have to say the lady was nice and did admit it was their fault and she said it was such a small change didn't matter less (than £10 per week). Although any increase seems alot to me.0

Angel1978, was the lady you spoke to talking about the 'help you renew letter' or this additional letter asking for more information?
I renewed on tuesday over specialist line the women was very helpful explained she was there to help and no one was under suspision. There were a few errors on my declaration i.e child's name wrong and dates of changes to nursery cost. I have had provisionals through this year with the right information so know this is not my error. She corrected all this and said it was all finalised. Spoke to main line today who confirmed payments and that all sorted.
I was very unsure about this letter when first arrived but wish I hadn't worried just think they are trying to improve system, however unsuccessfully ! Sorry to go on just wanted to keep you upto date.
I didn't receive a specialist letter AT ALL. I got my renewal pack through and phoned up the help line to renew. About a week and a half later I phoned to see if it was all sorted and they said the Specialist Team had to speak to me and gave me the number. I went through the renewal with the lady from the Specialist Team and she said it was all done and dusted and that if I received a letter through the post asking for more information just to ignore it. It is for those that needed to speak to them and hadn't yet. As I just had she said that was the end of the matter0 -
Angel1978, thanks I think the way it's all been handled is awful. How were you suppost to know about the specialist team if they never even informed you. The same was said to me about it being finished and that there is no need for me to use that number again just the main line for any other changes. So i.m just going to wait for paperwork and try and stop thinking about it.0

Although getting a specialist letter, I renewed via the main number 1) because 8-5 is not a convenient time cos I at work and 2) because when I did try the specialist number it just rang and rang. The main number said they would put a note on my account and told me to renew via them. Anyway I renewed on Monday 26th April - received an extra payment in my back that same week on the Friday and then the following week noticed my payments had increased (not by much dont' get me wrong, literally by 34p) anyway I have not received any paperwork yet - I just assume they will be on route in due course, with printing and post etc. there can often be delays. I have not received any letters requesting more info. I am assuming my claim has been done as I have received an extra payment and a change in my usual payment - I mean how can they give you more money and new payments if they have not completed your claim/renewal - it doesn't make sense??? They would have had to enter the details onto their systems in order to release an extra payment and change my usual payment amount(s).
Has anyone else who has now received letters requesting more info received extra payments and a change to their usual payments?????
Has anyone else who has received an extra payment and a change to their usual payment reeived their award notifications yet???0 -
hi everyone oh i'm so happy and relieved 2day!! just phoned main line and been told new payments and dates. asked had it been finalised and told yes and new awards getting ready 2 b sent out. had originally phoned main line 10 days ago 2 renew but just kept being told processing so got through 2 spec line on thurs morn and renewed again with them. everyone is so worried abt the spec line and i have def found grey hairs from the worry lol but i wish i'd phoned them straight away and got it over and done with. when they put me on hold and asked phone number in case they want 2 contact me u start 2 imagine all sorts of problems, but thankfully its sorted at last. hope everyone else gets sorted soon and now i can sleep properly and have a great weekend.:T:cool:0

hi just wonderin hun what info are they askin you to provide it really doesnt make sense but does any ov it !!
They have not asked me to provide any information. I basically received a letter to ring specialist team, thought the letter was strange and rung the main number who knew nothing of it, made a note on my file and advised me to ring main number to renew as soon as i received my renewal pack.. Renewal pack arrived 26th May (Monday), I rung main number to renew. By the Friday of the same week, received an extra payment and the following week on my normal payment date received a new amount - 34p more than normal which I am assuming is my new payment amount. As yet I have not received my awards notice, but am assuming they are on their way I mean how can I have been given an extra payment and a new regular payment if my renewal has not been dealt with?? I was asking if anyone else who received the letter had just renewed via the normal helpline number and received their new payments and award notice.0 -
Taxcredithelp: can I ask, if I have received an extra amount plus a new regular weekly amount does this mean my renewal has been renewed/processed. Still not joy with the specialist number just rings and rings and rings - I renewed via the main helpline following their advice to do so - they said they would put a note on my file to say they advised me to renew via them0

Hi everyone:wave:, the 08456005264 is a legitimet number. I renewed my claim over the phone on 21/04/2010 via 08453003900. Have called a few times to check progress as it still hasn't been finalised. Called again today and they said it was with the specialists team and that i should give them a call on 08456005264_pale_ and they will be able to give me an update!!!! Other than that i have recieved no odd looking letters. I have had a few changes in circumstances- moving home, baby left 1 nursery to start another and eldest 2 stopped going after school club! Could it be anything to do with all of this:think:????? Told them everything as soon as it happened but cant help feeling a little nervous!shev:cool:0
