merfe - I love yesterday's breakfast :rotfl::rotfl: custard creams are a favourite of mine.
ok so slightly more concerned now about the gestational diabetes having listened to you ladies who have experience. I am going to have a google and look for info on my diet and exercise - at the moment I am a lazy bint! Thinking that I could go swimming every morning after Tuesday - kids are at school :T, . just beginning to think that this one is going to be hard work!
They told me at 40 weeks that DD2 was a big baby and the consulant said oooooh about 9.25 lbs - hah!! I knew she was giong to be bigger - and sure enough 10 days later she struggled her way out at 10lbs 6oz!! I have moved since then though and now live much closer to a large hospital and the mw told me that they listen to the mothers instinct about the baby size :T Going to start preparing myself now for a c-section so that its not such a trauma when it happensDD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz
DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

clary sage stinks. I got mine from H&B.
Well i am still being sick. I have booked a little holiday away leavcing 23rd august for 4 nights for us all. We are going to a caravan park from haven just to give us all a break from the whole me being ill thing. I hope the sickness has gone for then.
I want to choke my DH, his car has been in the garage getting serviced and new break pads so he has been using my car and I don't drive much at the moment as off work so i have been spending the days at my parents only a mile away and getting my dad to collect us if the weather looked a bit iffy which has been fine. he got his car back yesterday evening so i have wheels again. I nipped out a second ago to put some cd's in it and he has taken all the change i have for parking, CD's are a mess and all over front seat, chocolate wrappers shoved in the door pocket, empty juice bottles on the floor and the fuel light is on. Now we have a joint account and share money and the fuel light only comes on with less than 30 miles to go and the trip computer says 16 so he had been driving it on red rather than standing at a petrol station filling it. It obvious its alot easier for me to stand in a fuel station filling the car hoping the smell wont make me vomit while keeping 2 kids amused in the back seat than it is for him to fill it on way to or from work. He works 8 miles away so the light must of been on tuesday grrrrrrrrr.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
LilacPixie I hate that sort of thing!
OH drives our car (I'm still learning) I put £20 in it after we'd been to tesco. A couple of weeks later (me having not used the car at all since) I ask if he can take us to pick up Twin1 from a party.
'OK,but you'll need to put some petrol in'
So effectively I paid £20 to get home from tesco that day   Could have gone home in a limo for thatMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Morning all
Am trying to decide today what to do about my maternity leave - I'd like to get the dates and paperwork sorted before the current HR woman leaves because she's not being replaced I don't think and instead we'd just have the umbrella company's HR person - I feel like it's going to be like getting blood from a stone getting answers from her!
I asked yesterday whether I would have to pay my occupational maternity pay back if I decide not to come back to work, and she thinks I probably wouldn't as there is a precedent and it doesn't say it in black and white in my maternity documentation. I know between now and January they could tell me something official but I'm hoping I'll kind of slip through the net in the changeover period and nothing more will ever be said, meaning I wouldn't have to
So. Can I ask the mums out there (and people who've already thought about it) how long they take/are taking off before the due date? I was going to just take two weeks but given I'm due end Jan and live in the Peak District I'm worried about trying to get to work in the first two weeks of January if we have a winter like we did last year. I'm thinking of saying I'll start my leave mid January but then having two weeks holiday before that if needs be. Any thoughts on that?My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Delain - it drives me mad. Especially as money wise its a joint account so it makes literally zero different who uses their debit card other than its more difficult for me having the kids to physically do it as I hate leaving them in the car while i pay, taking a 2 and 3 year old into a shop with crisps, sweets and fruitshoots triggers moans and grumps when I say no to buying some and the just discomfrt factor of trying to stand and fill up. Our nearest filling station has disabled pay at the pump as well so its even more difficult. It just seems so so selfish. OH could do it easy but just didn't out of lazyness. Think is its been raining her last 4 days but today we have some blue skies so i really want to take kids out to a park but that means driving which means filling up. If it was raining it would just be lef until he got home then he would be sent to the filling station before teaMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000

I have to pay my occupational maternity money back if I dont return - I have to return for a minimum of 3 mths to keep it.
I've finished early this time as its my 3rd and it was easier to finish earlier than try and sort childcare for ds and dd over the summer hols. I finished at 31 weeks and took 2 weeks annual leave, my maternity leave started officially at 33 weeks.0 -
I will also have to pay my occupational maternity pay back if I don't return for at least 3 months (though I may not have a job to go back to, but that's another story!). I chatted to friends and on here and have decided to finish 4 weeks before due date - 2 weeks annual leave then start maternity 2 weeks before due date. But I have a long commute and am struggling even now.
I asked for a meeting with HR and they sat and went through the dates etc with me.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
