Welcome to newbies
I had a carp day yesthad a migraine on and off for 2 days, it got a lot worse last night my head was thumping and I felt terribly sick. I went to bed and didn't go to sleep until 6am then woke 7am. I was worried about bubs, he/ she kept moving like crazy tho was like they knew I wasn't well. Feel bit better now.
Fuzz: sorry to hear about your friend, I hope she has a speedy recovery.0 -

I've also never had a problem with my BP... It does irk them doesn't it
I'm going to have them, just to shut these medical people up.....they're all saying "oh he is big for dates" and I'm saying "no, he is bang on perfect for MY dates, just the stupid child-person that was in charge of my 12 weeks scan couldn't be bothered to measure properly so changed my dates" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
They lost my 12 week blood results, and I am late for my 28 week bloods as well, so one big ol' vampire session next week-fab :dance::dance::dance:0 -
Sir M - you have my sympathies. I had full blown pre E from 30 weeks 2nd time around, I seemed to spend 2 nights in hossie, 3 nights out then in again antil 37 weeks and my kidneys started to go funny and the decided eviction time. In the end it was a relief.
Krystal - I didn't even get that but MW was poo TBHMF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Oh, and I didn't feel much real movement until well after 20 weeks (maybe about 24-5, can't remember really but I was worrying of course!)
I've still not had GTT results, but the finger !!!!! test at 28 weeks ish was 4.8 or something so she said was unlikely I had it.
I've not had any results from GTT test at 28 wks - when I asked mw she said our hospital only get in touch if there's a problem and don't let us know if normal.
Sir M - hope you are home soon x0 -
They kept telling me I had a gargantuan baby the first time around... Second time I wouldn't let them scan to measure past 28 weeks... And the midwife wasn't allowed to do my fundal height after 32 weeks because of her ineptitude... This time I won't let them do fundal height at all
Rebel much?

ummmm....hi.
Just popped over from the 'less than 12 week thread'. I feel like I'm going to 'big school'I'm still hanging round there though as I really don't feel like I'm 3 months.
A quick intro - didn't know I was PG until I was 7 weeks (probably why I don't feel 3 months). Had really bad MS, which seems to finally be easing, apart from early morning and late at night. Now have reflux and sciatica. Wooo. Due early Feb.
Quick question. I have a posh 'do' early next month, and then one in November and a couple of work Christmas parties. Is it possible to get either a wrap-around style dress, or stretchy one that might do all occasions and expand with me? Or am I fooling myself regarding how much I'm going to expand? Thanks
I'll probably pop in from time-to-time to begin with to gradually get myself used to the idea that the big day is approaching and I won't stay in my first trimester forever. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
Well the midwife said to call GP about leg. Been feeling very wobbly on legs/hips etc. OH says I've probably trapped a nerve! I will call GP and hospital physio in the morning.
My mum did the finger !!!! test on me this morning (she's diabetic so has all the gear) and it came up at 8.3 but I'd had two custard creams for breakfast. She did say 8.3 was high though. Probably why I felt so odd!
Now I have everything for DD1's party, including the spongebob cake she wanted. Made the mistake of going upstairs in tesco and spent £66 altogether  mostly on children's clothes in the sale! we doubled up the tesco vouchers to get a bouncy chair for little monster.
I have an appointment on monday for the children to have photos done, and I wanted them to look nice!
Smartie your day sounds epic!
Hi sir M :hello: glad you're feeling ok even if you're stuck in hospital!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

HGRY - i bought a new look maxi dress last week and it has tonnes of room its jersy like material. I think it should be possible to get something
Delain - trapped sciatic nerve possibly, i have damaged mine and sometimes leg ok, other times i think its freezing cold, sometimes hot and sticky feeling and sometimes just numb. weird feeling but harmless enough just hold on to someone if you have to walk, mines sometimes gives way at the knee.
I have never had a GTT. surprising considering there is a history of it my side of family both type 1 and GD.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Butting in from the Parents Thread.
I'm a Type 2 Diabetic, when I was pg with my DD I was told to keep my levels below 7 otherwise I would end up on insulin.
My consultant was most put out when I not only managed this also avoided being induced on my due date
Silly woman shouldn't have said at my very first appointment, you will end up on insulin as you won't be able to control your levels as baby gets bigger and you will be induced on your due date. I took it as a challenge
I just kept to the principles of the GI diet, religiously recorded what I ate and my readings on a spreadsheet that accompanied me to every single hospital appointment which meant they could check what I'd eaten for the occasional high reading - the specialist MW loved me and ended up on my side and recommended I be left alone and not induced.
At one point I was told to eat more as I was keeping my levels too low, just over 4 2 hours after eating.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Morning ladies
Labour vibes to those that want and need them!
Wondering if someone could help? I'm 28wks5 and woke up last night uncontrollably shivering and shaking. Was pretty scary as it took me about 20mins to stop. I didn't feel cold either and I'm most def not a cold person, in fact I'm the opposite. I'll be the one walking around in winter without a coat. I had to really concentrate to stop shaking?? I did in the end get up and put some pj's on and get a thicker duvet to see if that would help?
Anyone experienced anything similar???
Wish we had a little window into our bellies - would be so much more reassuring, mind you I wouldn't get much work done either!
