Glad you have got a nice midwife now star. Just got my induction letter from university today for my second year and we start back a few days before i thought we did. Ive got six weeks till my first day back. Going to go for induction week, which starts on a wednesday and then maybe the following monday and then won't be able to go for a few weeks as will be having baby then.

Wow - you're going to be busy! Hope there are people who can give you the notes on stuff you've missed and see if they can give you an extension on any early assignments so things don't get too hectic. Universities should be prepared for people being off for various reasons, so you should be fine. Lots of respect to you for doing the course and the baby at the same time :T

Thankyou Sweaty betty. The lectures put the slides on blackboard so i will be able to print them off at home. Uni has said that i will be able to get an extension if i need it. My friends i think are going to give me a copy of there notes which will help. I have imagines of me been the sleep walking student lol.

Fuzz I hope your friend has a speedy recovery - Good on you for offering womb space :D

Hope Sir M and Smartie are ok too, labour vibes to everyone who wants them (especially Xmas!)

Just been out shopping with my nan for DD1's party on friday... very kindly she paid for the party food (lots of junk!) some workbooks for the kids and some big plastic bowls to put the massive amount of popcorn and crisps in :o came to £36 which wasn't bad considering the 4 big bowls would probably have been £4 each in the range lol

I had no idea that organising your own party was so expensive  glad I saved £80 on the disco by using the disco lady now :rotfl: The party bags and stuff for it was another £30 odd  decided to be sensible and get paper plates from the 99p shop or tesco instead of paying £3 (£3 I tell you!!) for 6 lilac ones with cats on :p So not bad day in all, now she just needs a birthday cake :D

ETA: Excuse the long me me me post :o

    Hi everyone

Well I'm 16 weeks this Friday so really should start posting here rather than the Less Than 12 Weeks thread - although it's scary! I feel like I won't truly have graduated until after my 20 week scan which isn't until 14th September!

Had fun in the back to school aisle yesterday, been dying to have a proper look but even I know it's too early to be buying that stuff for an unborn child! Instead I took advantage of the 3 for 2 to get some cheap bits for my Link Romania Christmas shoeboxes.

Midwife appointment next week - hopefully we'll get to hear the heartbeat! x

I love that back to school stuff too, but I've got a 7yr old and 2 6yr olds who only care about Tinkerbell lunchboxes so I get to pick the rest :D:D

For future reference ASDA uniforms have a really nice shape to the skirts and trousers, the Tesco ones don't look so good on.

I remember waiting for my 20 week scan, I read your post and thought 'i might have a baby by then':eek::eek:

You should get to hear the heartbeat although not all midwives will do it.

They heard baby at mine even though I'm not the skinniest and here was a large fat layer to get through :rotfl:

Are you excited to be joining us here? :T:T

I am indeed excited but worry that I'm jumping the gun a little bit even though I'm out of the scary pre-12 week woods, if you know what I mean? Have seen baby twice and heartbeat twice so I know there's little to worry about.

Here are my scans if anyone's interested:

welcome to everyone graduating to here from the less than 12 week thread, i promise we're not scary.
Hope smartie and sir monster are ok!
I felt the first movements quite early on, around 17 weeks, but it doesn't feel like kicks, it's good when you have your 20 weeks scan and you get kicked on your scan.
I had a midwife appointment this morning and have been ordered to rest because i've been feeling a bit fuzzy and everything else is ok, hb, bp etc.

Need to buy some baby hangers brought pack of 3 from mothercare in sale last week for £4 as were cute padded ones but need somewhere cheap as need lots - apparently poundland do them in pack of 4-6 for £1 so may have to look there.
I really wouldn't bother... Baby coathamgers breed like nobodys business and by the time it's a week old you'll be over run with the damn things... We have bag fulls of them that I'm scared to throw out in case we run out... But I don't ever see that happening!

oh no! I wont be sitting on the floor then, i have enough trouble getting up of the sofa!! I've heard if you have it with 1 pregnancy you are likely to have it again, i know you still quite early but any sign of it yet? Did you find one of those exercise balls helped?
FWIW... I had it terrible with DD1 and it lasted a good few weeks after she was born too... Not a twinge with DD2 though :) (although my back was wrecked 2nd time round and my bum clicked an awful lot... I can kind of feel that starting again now... The joys...)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
