Merfe - thanks for that! the last MW that I had seen told me not to eat or drink anything before hand only a sip of water
anyway I managed not to throw up so thats all good :T . Just phoned to get my results and I don't have gestational diabetes, but my result was high ish 8.3, so I have to go for another GTT at 28 weeks
, it doesn't really worry me - but - I get the feeling that this bubble is going to be a large one, which means that its coming out the sunroof, which after DD2 it is probably safer, I really really didn't want that this time (scared of wounds - would rather have them in my foof where I can't see them :rotfl::rotfl:) DD2 ended up getting herself stuck and broke her arm .
Not going to worry yet though, but going to be good and avoid as much sweet stuff as possible - which should not be to hard at this little one has put me off all sweet stuff! drinking lucozade was awful :rotfl:
On the plus side - my little angels start back to school on Tuesday and DD2 is off to primary 1 :T:T:T:T:T:T - PEACE!!DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

I don't think I'd manage a GTT at this point without depositing the lucozade on someones feet 2girls, you did well keeping it down!! Shame about having to have another though, fingers crossed it's all OK then too
I'm probably going to get referred for a 28w GTT because of my obscene BMI... I plan on declining it though... Unless there's any specific reason for it... I just can't bear the thought of sitting around the hospital for another 2 hours... With a toddler this time...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I'm here... just about!!!
Saw my Crohns consultant yesterday.
A quick visit to the midwife today turned into an hour with the usual phone calls to hospital. Looks likely I'll be queue jumping with a c section. Not good as I'm supposed to avoid cs cos of my Crohns, bleeding and MRSA. Have found out that whatever way I have bean I'm going to be getting private room!! I'm a little dissappointed as I like company and having been in hospital many times I know I'll probably go crazy on my own.
But hey... I get a room that people normally pay for free. Very MSE!!;):rotfl:
I'm terrified of c section:o:o:o
And I've just got back from A&E!!! It's cos I love hospitals:j:j:j*sarcastic jumpy smilies* DS sent me an odd text saying "PHONE ME NOW" just before I left to go midwife. So I phone in a panic. He was playing football, in goal and someone kicked the ball very hard and his wrist snapped back!
So back to hospital tomorrow for DS. Back to hospital Fri for me... then I'll have to trip DH up so he doesn't feel left out!!
Hugs, hope you're ok's and labour vibes where needed xBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
hi all
quick update from Sir M - I've only just seen that she texted at lunchtime, she's still in but hoping bp will come down so she can get home. Has had a scan and growth has slowed a bit but still ok.
I have just had to fill out a 2 page form to get time off for my physio...apparently it's not covered by normal ante natal stuff so i have to get special leave! wish I'd never asked and just gone!!
I am heading home soon, been here since 8.30! No doubt I'll be on later as DH will be fiddling with the new pc again!!
delain hope your leg is ok.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

Awww thanks!:)
Someone's just text to say they saw me running up a hill so there can't be much wrong!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I only found the ability to run cos I was worried about DS and knew I had to get him to hospital!! It's amazing what panic does!BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
:rotfl:Hellooooooo
I haven't been on for ages, have been really busy at work. Still have 2 more weeks to go before I go on mat leave and I'm knackered.
It looks like I'll be starting painting the house this weekend I can't wait to move back in - I've been living out of black bin bags for 3 months and my nesting instinct is going crazy.
What have I missed?Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
smartie, you need to stay away from the hospital hun, lol, I'm glad you and your son are ok, make sure he's careful with that wrist. Do you know what date your c-section will be? and it's only to be expected with how naughty that baby has been so far. Really should make up for it once baby is here and behave like an angel!
Have you been swabbed to see if you still have MRSA present in the usual place, nose and groin? because if they did that and you still did, then they could start you on the wash that will get rid of it and minimise the risk for the c-section wound. If you haven't been re-swabbed, ask.
Rach does Sir Monster have any idea how long she'll be in for?
Xmas, part of me is happy that you might go into labour soon, the other half terrified, because you're due only shortly before me!0 -
oh Smartie what a day you have had! I feel the same about a section - scares the life out of me!
Krystal - it was a small miracle that the lucozade did not reappear!! I didn't mind having the test done - but my kids have been farmed out so it was fairly relaxing. I have a high BMI 36 too, I am over 35 and with my previous delivery being so horrific I seem to be high risk :eek: typical! my other 2 pregnancy's have been plain sailing so I suppose it had to happen - going with the assumption that problem pregnancy = angelic baby :rotfl:DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
