  • Think i spoke too soon in a previous post about not feeling sick.

Has anyone got any experience of morning sickness late in pregnancy? Yesterday i was completely lousy and sick as a dog, was feeling fine until about 20 mins ago or so and have been sick again now. Heard it can happen late in pregnancy, never experienced any sickness before early or late so just wondewring of people have views on it. thanks in advance x

I'm 10 weeks today...woohoo, 1/4 of the way there...lol. Quite jealous of all you lovely ladies at the top of the list, but i'm no way ready and got lots of work to do on the house before i have my little un'

Regarding morning sickness, since i was 5.5 weeks i've had pretty much constant feeling sick, but no actual sick. I'm not sure whats worse. I never know whether i feel like eating or if i'm over eating.....can't touch garlic as i just keep burping it for the rest of the day if i do (and i love garlic bread). Hoping it will pass soon.

I'm enjoying the 6 weeks off with my other 3 at the moment, i work in a school, so one of the benefits is having the holidays off. But the older 2 are off to their grandparents today til the weekend, don't really want them to go as i love spending time with them, even if they do drive me round the bend.

Right off to make a cup of tea, or wake the oldest up to do it for me :)

    morning everyone

xmas massive labour vibes hopefully it won't drag to days for you x

I've only had braxton hicks with my first and I didn't even know I was having them. They were not painful just really tight. I went to the hospital to be monitored because DD heartrate dropped and they told me. I can see how they can get painful though because I did find them really uncomfortable.

This is weird because its my 3rd baby so I didn't think I'd feel like this but the baby kicking is still really freaking me out. It didn't with either the other 2 and I do like the reasurrance baby is moving now I can feel it but I feel shocked everytime baby moves. I don't like how it feels. Oh well scan on friday can't wait, not long now.
  • Congrats Pigpen. What a gorgeous name.

Found out yesterday that my old house mate, who now lives in Australia, is pregnant and due exactly a week after me. Spooky. lol.

Hope everyone is doing well. Im happily over the morning sickness and loving my tiny bump.

I have had acid reflux from early on which makes me feel sick when I lie down, I find having my last meal two hours before bed, no fizzy drinks late on and settlers tums helps, I even sleep on an extra pillow it helps

Is that a fixed 2 hours as OH doesn't usually eat 2 or 3 hours before bed anyway and she doesn't drink fizzy drinks, so that's okay. I'll get her to take some settlers tablet or similar. Never thought of an extra pillow, so we'll sort that one out for her. Thanks.
aww hope you OH feels better soon MOTM "morning" sickness is so horrid.

I know she woke up a couple of times, but she wasn't ill as far as i'm aware. Will let her lie in for a couple of hours.

Labour vibes for you Xmas. Although that's a little naughty of you for queue jumping ;)

urgh, OH told me yesterday that it's his dads birthday tomorrow. I really hope that doesn't mean we have to go see them. Don't need any stress and upset before the birth. The fact I haven't heard from his mum for, what is it now, about 5-6 weeks?! This is her first biological GD and she couldn't care less. Weird thing is though that his dad used to ring OH to sort websites out for him, and lately (last week) he rung up just to ask how I was and not ask for anything in return. But I do know that he's loving the fact it's a little girl. Annoyingly that means if he comes over SHE has to as well :(

How is everyone thing morning? I didn't want to wake up this morning but that's no real suprise :D

Merfe - I'm also pg with my 3rd and was freaked out by the movements this time at first - just felt really wierd, never felt like it before. After a few weeks I got use to it and love feeling baby move - even when it hurts.

Hope things progress for you xmas!
  • oh wish I had come on here earlier on! I have been up since 4.30am as well:(. At least I would have had company - instead I sat and watched underage and pregnant :rotfl:silly little girls!!

I am off to the hospital shortly to have my GTT done - I am so hungry and thirsty its untrue! been fasting since midnight last night - and it is making me feel soooo sick....... not sure when I will get something to eat :( makes me want to cry...

Fingers crossed for you Xmaslolly that you are on your way - might not make it to Friday though! (I am a Friday 13th baby - my brothers always said it was them that had the bad luck :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

ante-natal class was interesting - midwife was a right old bag she had just had a hip replacement and had been doing the job since 1969 so she told us 900 million times!! There was about 10 couples. I was told to go to this one as they do a bit on elective c-sections well she did for 5mins at end (well it was 7-9.30pm but we finished at 9.50pm), she didnt like it that I wouldnt straddle a chair due to PGP so said oh stand against sideboard which was too low so had to get load pillows then she asked me why I couldnt lean further forward - said back injury and coz she had a back problem she was a little nicer to me and then when told having elective c-section due to other medical issues she was a bit kinder. She just kept telling people they were wrong when she asked us questions and also kept saying you need to remember this as your midwife on the day may not have heard of this technique.

Got to go tommorow for another 2 and half hr session on post natal care just women this time.

off out to lunch with a friend today weather is nice so hopefully can sit outside with no wasps annoying us.
