cheapest place I can find for blackout curtains is these however, I think i am going to try our local linens direct to see if the instore price is the same as online as although it works out the same price will save me queuing at the post office to collect them as bound to be out if I get a delivery! Usually I ask them to leave stuff with the shop below but as it sells curtains (but is bound to be more pricey) I don't want to!

 and me - I had a terrible night too! was wakened by DD2 at 2.30 because of a nightmare - let her sleep in my bed with DH and I went to hers - couldn't sleep so got up and came on here till 5.30 when I tried to go back to sleep, think I probably nodded off at 6 ish and slept till about 9.30. I now feel rubbish again today - I am guessing this is becuase I am so tired, I have actually felt a lot less sick over the last few days, so this is horrible!! :(

We have been at a music festival this weekend with the kids which was really good, but I am so exhausted today after it. Saw KT Tunstall who was a surprise guest and the kids were delighted to see Eliza Doolittle.

Re blackout blinds/linings, I had linings before which I bought from Mothercare - and they still have them in the book, they work fine, but you do still get the edge of light around the bottom. I now have blackout blinds in the kids rooms, we just have a wee hook high up on the inside of the window were were wrap the cord around so that the kids can't reach it, I do find these have a better 'blackout' mine were fairly cheap ones from Argos.

Fingers crossed for a good nights sleep for all tonight!!

aww kitkat that is sooo cool. i can never tell which of the babys body parts are sticking out, i have a large lump sticking out at the moment but dont know if its a bum or a head :rotfl:

il ask him tomorrow to have a feel. id like to know now so i can try and do those manouevers to get him back to head down if i can before he has no room to move back.

I found it hard initially working out what bit was what! I could work out where the feet were early on as it kicked so much! The strangest thing I keep getting is the babys bum is right infront of my ribs and for some reason he/ she likes putting their hand right on their bum! I can even c the fingers as my skins is so stretched! Quite eerie!

I've been eating cold things for months... Had to give up the ice cubes straight from the freezer because it felt like I wasn't doing my teeth any good! Now I leave them to thaw and soften a bit first :rotfl:

Oh and frozen raspberries! I don't like fresh ones but can't get enough of the frozen ones. They've been 3 boxes for £5 for a while too, but that hasn't lasted me a week :(

I've got a big jug of water in my fridge door which I keep topping up so I can have really cold water with ice in, Ice lollies you name it. If it's cold, I want it!

I haven't had a slush puppy in ages... there's an ice ream shop in town that does cola ones mmmmm

I keep meaning to whizz up ice and orange juice in my blender but I'm worried about breaking it as it will come in handy for little monster's food lol

Well we've been to the park today, OH took the monsters on a walk to feed the ducks about a mile away, with a rock solid baguette I forgot I bought last week, apparently the ducks were running for cover :rotfl:

Hello there - I would focus on what you actually enjoy to be honest. If you weren't enjoying the counselling side, then I would stick with just psychology - I'm not sure it would give you less options when you graduate, and if you wanted to work in counselling later you could always do a evening course or something. Also, if you're not enjoying it, that can be reflected in your marks...

But if you do enjoy the counselling side and your main concern is about your marks, it might be worth having a chat with a lecturer/tutor and ask them their view on how you're doing. Some people can tell if others just are not on the right wavelength for some subjects (this happened with me, I was interested in but rubbish at one of my subjects - I decided to drop it as a subject, but was still interested enough to read up about it etc).

How soon do you need to make the decision?

Thankyou Sweaty for your help. I do enjoy it, not to the point that i did at college but its still intresting. I have had a look on the uni site to see what we will be doing in the second year in each module and for the counselling we will be doing cbt, which i do find very intresting and for the skills one we will be practising counselling other students and getting assessed on this, this i think im good at and also will be doing reflective commentary for the assignment and i think im good at this too. I think i need to decide soon as uni starts back in about seven weeks. I will speak to a lecture about it tomorrow, i am going more towards psychology with counselling.

Afternoon all, can I join the 'I had a rubbish night's sleep club' too? Have been so tired recently, think I might start of the vit and iron supplements again. Not even sure why I stopped taking them!

I think you need to have a chat with a tutor about your best options - you might be better off getting a lower degree class in a more useful subject than a better mark in a less useful one in terms of getting a job at the end of it. It sounds like you have a really good understanding of why you got the grades you did too which is half the battle when it comes to improving next time. For what it's worth I've got a first class with hons in Linguistics and Phonetics - very very interesting but totally useless. I also founs the first year a real struggle and got a 2:ii at the end of it but got my first by miles at the end - it may just be that it'll take you a bit longer to 'get your head round' concepts but once you grasp them you'll fly.

Talk to someone though, good luck with whatever you go for :D

Thankyou for your help courgette. I will speak to a tutor about it tomorrow. I think with the psychology with counselling i would have more choice when i finish. Well done on your first. When i was getting low marks in counselling i went and spoke to the tutors about where i was going wrong which i think has helped. Part of my problem with assignments has not been proof reading them well enough, i do try. I will have a proof reader when i go back which will help and i now have a dictaphone to record lectures which i think will help.
