they are horrible, fortunately only had it once so far whilst being pregnant, used to get them every night at one point when I was a teenager, used to make me jump out of bed, then I'd get it in the other leg and I'd fall back on the bed!
it aches for a few days later too, felt like I'd been to the gym.
Glad to hear squeak it doing well though pigpen, bless her, in less than 5 weeks I'll definately have one of those, seems quite scary to me at times, I can't quite get past the labour part yet, I think it's because it's unknown territory.0 -
Morning Fatties how we all doing today?
I didnt sleep to badly last night but have woken up as stiff as a board and i feel like a cripple i can barely walk god knows what i would do if DD wasnt here to help carry bubs down stairs. The inlaws are due over at lunch time it will be nice to see them again. Havent seen much of them recently as i cant get there very easily at the moment.
I get the dreaded leg cramps too its so painfull i think i used to bring alot of it on though as when i was young i used to do gymnastic and was programmed to always point my toes so tended to sleep with my feet pointing down so i make a concious effort to point my feet up now which has helped alot.:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

For what it's worth nene, I get massive swings as to how I feel about things too.
It seems to happen more if I am around other people's children for a period of time, or with other pregnant friends.
We went round to a mate of mine's for dinner on Saturday night, she is due in about 7 weeks, and is huge. Her house was in chaos with them trying to get everything ready in time. + it made me panic as we haven't really done/brought anything in preparation yet.
Hurredly joined the NCT yesterday..the thought of being stuck isolated with no adult company for a year fills me with absolute horror, but then again gassing with lots of other women about nothing but babies doesn't do much for me either!
I'm used to working and being independent. Selfish probably.
But I am 37 now, and have had all those years of doing exactly what I wanted, when I wanted. That's all going to change and I'm a bit scared, but then again, sometimes I am so excited and grateful to actually have (so far, fingers crosssed) had a relatively easy time with this pregnancy, and remember how wretched I felt after my miscarriage, I could kick myself up the ar5e for feeling negative!
It's normal isn't it to feel like this??Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Hormones were driving me crazy yesterday i felt like i was going to explode with anger at any given point and there was absolutely no reason for it at all infact every one was being extra nice to me. I managed to keep it under control though. Other than the pain im in i feel rather good today which is a good job as its OH's birthday last thing i want is to be is all hormonal today.
Glad your feeling better Nene its awful when the "i dont want to do this anymore" feelings hit you you feel so guilty as you know you really do want to you just cant see past it all at the time.
My two eldest are getting really bored at the moment and its showing as they are constantly fighting. I wish i could take them out somewhere but A. i'm skint this week and B. i just cant walk anywhere at the moment. I would send them swimming its only up the road but i cant gaurentee that DS1 wouldnt play up without an adult present and that wouldn't be much fun for DD.
I'm meant to be going to Bils b,day party on saturday in rugby not sure how i am going to manage that. I have been pondering weather to stay at home and let OH take the kids with him but i know if i do that i will go into labour and they are 2hrs away by train and as its a 30th you know everyone will be having a drink so there will be no one to drive them home in an emergency. On the upside Sil has a birth pool so if i go into labour there i can still chill out then go to the local hospital if needs be as i doubt they would send a midwife out to me to home birth in someone elses house although sil has no problem with it. Arghhh decisions decisions :-) xx:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -

Thank goodness for that!!
Got to go to the hospital again this afternoon for my '16 week check', that they forgot to book...I'm 18 weeks today!
On the plus side I get a day off work, but on the downside the hospital is a good hour and a bit away, and with London traffic being what it is, could take longer.
From what I've heard too, this check up is a bit of a non-event one too, so lots of time in the car for me today...great!
Think I'll watch the Jeremy Kyle show to cheer myself up a bitMetranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Morning all, slept like pooh!! I have pains in lower abdomen and back on and off particularly at night and assume these are braxton hicks as come in waves and feel like horrendous period pains, paracetamol gives me about 2hrs of relief if lucky. Also up to the toilet every hr and half not fun.
Ordered these nursing bras yesterday http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_152010202123_-1?breadcrumb=Home%7ESale%7EWomen
They were £11.25 delivered if you use 10% off code and free delivery code - look on discount threads for it. They go up to quite big sizes as well.
Watched toy story 3 in 3d was quite good but not as good as the first 2 and is probably more of a sit on a sunday afternoon at home to watch film than paying for cinema.0 -
I have mine today as well, and yes, it's a non-event and very quick.
I live just a mile and a half from the clinic, so am debating whether to walk over with DS in the buggy, but I've only just had the stitches out of my hand after surgery, so it might make it worse, and take longer to heal, which would drive me mad. Or I could drive over, which seems lazy and non-MSE, but would be easier. But then I couldn't tell myself that we "deserved" a cake from the delicious cake shop on the way home....
Decisions, decisions!0 -
Bah so it will be a long trip for me for not very much...sigh.
Oh well..the day away from the office makes up for it !Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0
