Morning all - been lurking but not posted for a while as the kids keep needing my attention everytime I sit down for 5 mins. They are playing quite happily at the minute and show no sign of murdering each other :j.
This week I'm washing all the baby stuff and going to get my hospital bag packed. MW was telling me lots of babies have been born at 35 wks at our hospital recently, and then someone else was telling me their grandchild was born at 35 weeks last week . Although I don't think I will be early I thought I'd better get organised.

Drs just rung - I have Group B Strep and thrush:eek::eek:. Nice! Need to go and pick up a prescription later for the thrush and then see mw at 37 wks about the GBS.

Think I can beat that. Last night I had a dream that DH and I were DTD and he was full of peas...little green garden peas in the style of the stuffing you get in beanie toys. Eventually he burst with the weight of my bump and they were all over the bed.:rotfl:

I also have a recurring dream that the pram is posessed and keeps running off with the baby and I can't catch it :o.

I think that last one is because you're worried about the responsibility and being a parent, is this your first baby? OH said before his eldest was born he had nightmares like that. Not exactly he same but he probably wouldn't thank me for sharing the exact details ;)

He was fine when she was born (AFAIK, She's older than me! :o:o) so don't worry too much.

I have no idea where the peas one comes from though :rotfl::rotfl:

OH bought me a dream reading book, I'll dig it up and see what I can get from 'OH explodes into peas during DTD' :rotfl::rotfl:

    Hi ladies,
Just coming into my 30th week and have daily rib pain, oh joy.
I've got my first proper midwife app this week as my Obsteotrician totally forgot to tell me that I need to also see a midwife. Can you believe I haven't spoken to anybody about my body, the birth, pain relief etc yet! And I've got two bloody wombs! My docotrs suregry was like "I think you better come in!"

On a positive note I have joined as an Avon rep for the next 9 months before I search for my first Teaching job. I'm currently unemployed as come to the end of my teacher training year and then baby is due. I figured it would keep me sane and busy before the baby is born as I have come on maternity leave 10 weeks early! ;)

Tink - what did your boss say to you? You poor thing. That cake looks amazing. Served with a glass of chilled milk...yummy!

Gizmodo - I bought a jersey empire line (you know those that have a seam just under your bust) dress in a normal size 14 and it's seen me through to 30 weeks. Bloomin marvellous have discounts all the time and are affordable. I have a picture but don't know how to attach images to posts?

Right I'm off to go and raid the fridge.

Maybe it's a non-event compared to the scans, but I'm still excited about my 16 week appt. But then again I was excited and enjoyed my booking in too :o Hopefully you'll get to listen to the heartbeat, that'll make it well worth the trip :)

I asked this question on <12wk thread. But is it possible to buy a dress that would fit at 18 wks and 33 wks? I'm trying to MSE and need a dress for a wedding, but hoping I could get something I could re-wear for the xmas party.

I got to hear the heartbeat last week Giz when I went to my prem-clinic appointment, which was cool.

I just know today is going to be really quick. I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't live such a long way from the hospital.

My fault though for not 'fessing up and telling them I no longer live at my Mum's house! :rotfl:

MV how come you are an hour and half away from hospital in London? What are you going to do if you go into labour during rush hour?

Tinks I know how you feel my boss is a complete cow she never speak to me unless she wants something or its to moan, she will walk in and greet everyone else but will completely ignore me. I Have learnt just to ignore her she hasnt got the best reputation in the world and very often gets herself into trouble over some of the stupid things she comes out with.

There was another pregnant lady in the office who was rushed into hospital as baby wasnt doing very well she was booked in for a c-section the following day and this stupid mare tried to make the manager phone her to come in that day to do a hand over i swear she lives in cloud cuckoo land sometimes.

I'm just glad im out of there and hopefully i wont ever have to go back if things work out the way we want them to xx

Think you might be on to something with the pram dream...it is my first and although I feel pretty chilled out about it all I've never had much contact with babies so I'm just winging it really and trusting that my instincts will kick in.

The peas are a mystery...all I can think of is that it's something to do with worries about putting on weight and inevitable changes in our sex life. Although again can't say this has been overly playing on my mind.

The brain is a very strange thing sometimes :p.
