I had a strange one the other day where I woke up in an empty house at 5.45 (kids finish school at 3!) and it turned out a neighbour (who doesn't exist IRL) had been looking after them because I was asleep and i hadn't needed to have a big panic about being almost 3 hours late for school :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I also have a recurring dream that the pram is posessed and keeps running off with the baby and I can't catch it.
Reading this had me in stitches!! Thankyou for thatmaybe you have some issues with peas?! :rotfl:
I had a horrible dream last night I was BFing my baby and it had lots of big sharp teeth and kept biting my nipples... ouch!! I am never watching NCT dvds again... I am now put off birth and BFing!!
Bit annoyed OH was supposed to be doing some electrical work today I had arranged a month ago, stupid idiot left his tools in his van at his mothers house, left testing labels at a mates house, so he had to phone and cancel this morning. Just a bit peed off, would of meant a bit of cash but nevermind!0 -
I've booked the mobile hairdresser for Sep 21st, think it was Xmas who said about having a hair nightmare after it being bright red, my hair is originally brown with a reddish tint to it, and it's really hard to colour which is why I ended up with the purple/red because those dyes stuck.
I did dye it red early in the pregnancy but it pretty much washed straight out, so I tried dying my hair with a brown packet dye, it went burgundy and now it is orange :rotfl:
She was having a bit of a giggle at my disaster and said that that was the first appointment she had, and she'd come to do a cut and bring some colours with her, maybe colour it if she thinks she can cover the red but definitely to cut and have a look at what can be done with it.
She also said to try the Toni & Guy colour shampoo brunette, because it adds brown in gradually and might take the orange out. Has anyone used this before and does it work?
KK I've always stayed away from NCT things after hearing horror stories about people being accused of neglect by oh so perfect earth mother types for not breastfeeding
the best advice I can give is try and be relaxed about it... the more stressed you are the worse it will be because baby can pick up on your stress!
Hopefully that dream is because you're worried and not because your body knows you're having a baby vampire :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks Delain
I have found all of these free DVDs MWs or NCT give out to be complete carp.. its all 'you must BF or your a bad parent' bla bla bla! I was really annoyed with the NCT one as it had sooo many adverts in it, like every 5 mins, saying 'you must buy colgate complete or you'll get gum disease, etc!'
Just had a phone call from my work, my manager resigned 2 weeks ago and now someone else has; so we have gone from 10 employees to 4 within a couple of months! And obviously while I am off that means another one less!! Just hope the company is still going when I return.
My bump is making all kinds of crazy shapes today, I swear bubs has company in there and it really feels like its sticking out from everywhere... I keep saying infront of OH 'will you two behave in there' and he looks quite scared!
Im soooo bored I MIGHT get the moses basket and monitor set up... just because I am that bored!! I have no more baby washing to doI love seeing the little outfits on the line! Mind you it is absolutely pouring here!

Have still got to sort through all the clothes my mum gave us in newborn and 0-3 mths, thinking may need another wardrobe and move out the shelving unit thats in there as will provide more room.
Need to buy some baby hangers brought pack of 3 from mothercare in sale last week for £4 as were cute padded ones but need somewhere cheap as need lots - apparently poundland do them in pack of 4-6 for £1 so may have to look there.0 -
Freebie; I had a pack of 5 hangers from Mothercare (just the small plastic ones) that my sis bought me for £4.99. They are cute but completely useless and the even the newborn stuff seems to fall off them, nevermind the bigger stuff! I bought some cheap kids hangers from Tesco think it was 10 for 99p, my mum also got me some from Sainsburys that were 10 for £1.99 (again kids ones) I found these fine, the newborn stuff just about fits on the hangers, but the 0-3 onwards clothes fit the hangers perfectly! I would recommend just going for kids size. The baby hangers are ridiculous prices!! I also made sure if I bought any clothes (the minimal I did buy new!) I asked if I could keep the hangers0

I never use hangers other than for dresses.. which are hung up when wet.. everything else is folded and stuffed in the drawer.. why would you hang a sleepsuit?

Im afraid I have to; in the baby's room we have a wardrobe and no chest of drawers! So no drawers to stuff them in! Hopefully I qualify for the Surestart grant then maybe the baby will have a chest of drawers! I do have some wicker baskets on the shelf in the wardrobe with the smaller size stuff folded in but thats it I am afraid, everything is on hangers! It does look very cute0 -
