Hi everyone, tinkwings you cake looks yummy. Sorry to hear about your boss at work, hugs. I now have had a migraine for four days. I went to the doctors who reassured me that taking my taking codeine for them won't harm baby, as that was my main concern. He has given me a script for some more. Am going to only take them as a last resort.

I have just spoken to a tutor at university about me changing back to psychology with counselling and they were very helpful. Im going to email them tomorrow with my decsion. I have decided to go back to psychology with counselling as i thinks thats the best thing for me. It's nice to have made a decsion and not to be confussed.

I've booked the mobile hairdresser for Sep 21st, think it was Xmas who said about having a hair nightmare after it being bright red, my hair is originally brown with a reddish tint to it, and it's really hard to colour which is why I ended up with the purple/red because those dyes stuck.

I did dye it red early in the pregnancy but it pretty much washed straight out, so I tried dying my hair with a brown packet dye, it went burgundy and now it is orange :rotfl:

She was having a bit of a giggle at my disaster and said that that was the first appointment she had, and she'd come to do a cut and bring some colours with her, maybe colour it if she thinks she can cover the red but definitely to cut and have a look at what can be done with it.

OMG are you guys talking about hair dye disasters? Will I be OK? I've never ever dyed my hair in my life before but I'm getting greys now to the point where people will notice so I'm getting my hair coloured and highlighted in 2 weeks :s I'm nervous enough as it is. It's supposed to be a treat for myself for the weddings I'm going to.

Kitkat - why don't you get something like this to hang in the wardrobe? We have a few - some with tops and Tshirts in and some with towels and bedding in in spare room. I am going to get one for baby's room as have wardrobe and only a few drawers and I won't be bothered to hang everything up!

I did buy one pack of 10 kids hangers in the 99p shop.

Had a good afternoon at a meeting overlooking the olympic site! Bit of a trek getting home, more than usual but left early so ok. Better get the dinner done, not that I want any!

MV how come you are an hour and half away from hospital in London? What are you going to do if you go into labour during rush hour?

Well...I got myself into a bit of a pickle see...

I'm still registered with my old Dr..the one I've had since I was a kiddie in Ealing, where my folks live and I used to...up until I moved out at 18!

I've never changed Dr's. I live in a slightly ghettoy part of South East London now, which whilst the bit we live in is very nice, the Dr's surgery's around here aren't. So my Dr still thinks I live in Ealing, and hence I was referred to a hospital in West London.

The hospital I chose is one of the best in the area -Queen Charlotte's, and has an excellent maternity record, and I really don't want to have my baby at one of the crumby hospitals round here. I've done my homework too, and they're pretty crappy.

So...come Xmas time, I'm prob going to have to go and stay at my folks house, and confess to the midwives after the bub is born that I've moved to SE London, so they can assign me health visitors from this area.

    Complicated huh....!

rach my OH uses one of those as he has loads of t-shirts but not so many shirts or things that need hanging and he puts all his work uniform on it I think, quite useful.

Well at the moment DD clothes pretty much all go in her wardrobe, hung up, except her jeans which use the top draw of the chest of drawers. DS has the baby set and his clothes are all in the drawers except his school uniform that is hung up in the wardrobe along with his one suit and a couple of smart shirts. TBH sometimes I can't be bothered to hang his uniform back up and chuck it straight from the wash on top of the wardrobe and take it from there. So my plan is to use DD chest of drawers and DS wardrobe for the baby but its going to be a bit mix matched. Hopefully I'll find out what we are having on friday and I can plan a bit better.

Consultant said I am measuring big already, I did say my bump was huge. No sugar in urine though just a big baby. She listened to the heartbeat, but she struggled to find it too, baby was hiding again. Booked in to see her again at the end of september when I'll have the results of my scan and second GTT. Seeing the midwife at 25 weeks too, seems like alot of appointments to me.

merfe - we hardly have any hang up clothes as we both wear casual stuff for work and at home! I've still not had the results of my GTT or my 28 week bloods. MW said she'd chase up but to assume no problems if I'd not heard. She said I should still hear something though.

MV - where is it you live? Me and sir monster are also in SE London, going to diff hospitals to have babies. I went to King's for my 12 week scan and was v impressed though I will be having the baby at Princess Royal in Farnborough.

I live in West Norwood Rach, near Crystal Palace.

Is King's good then? I don't know..I think it's because I had my LLETZ treatment at Queen Charlotte's last year, and have always had the same Dr etc, that I was hesitant to change.

Honestly the Dr's around me are awful. My OH signed up with the best of a bad bunch, and he really hates going there.

You're quite near both of us then, we're Croydon. Sir M is going to Mayday and me to Farnborough so we'll be able to compare notes. To be honest I think there are positive and negative stories about everywhere, my sister was allegedly in one of the best units in the country and nearly didn't make it. I've had friends who have been to both Mayday and Farnborough and been fine. King's has a big birthright unit and my scan there was great, had 3 Drs doing it!

I am lucky as my Drs are great, though DH goes to a much less good one!

yeah rach you should still hear something. I had my 16 week GTT on the 25th june, the results are dated 27th and I had letter by 29th and it was a normal result at that stage so no hurry. I am worried the next ones won't be back in time but I'll ask whne I have it done and rearrange the appointment then if needs be.

We have loads of casual clothes too, both have uniforms for work so no need for too many shirts. All my maternity stuff is hung up though and I have loads of clothes in mine that don't fit from before I had DD I just can not bare to get rid of. So my wardrobe is mostly just a old storage area lol. Need a new one too, OH broke the door hinge on mine when we moved.

MV people are really down about the hospital I'm going to but this will be my third child there and I've always been really well looked after. I think everyones experience is different. It's best to go where you are happy though.

Why won't you be having the baby at Kings, if you don't mind me asking?
