dreambirdie - first time around I just had some pethidine and was out of it - I couldn't feel my contractions anymore at all and had no idea when I was supposed to push so I just pushed whenever the midwife said "push"! I don't fancy an epidural though! I much preferred just getting through it with gas & air the second time - it hurt much more but it was over much quicker as I could feel the need to push + the fact that I had no time for anything other than gas & airBSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Honestly it'll be fine. Have a shower (and a good thorough wash so it's not so gross as it might be) and just do it before you've had chance to think about it, like pulling off a plaster:rotfl:

Hi,
Would anyone like this freebie? It's a sealed max factor lipstick and mascara in one tube, from the Tesco pamper box pack.
Neither the lippie/gloss (pink) nor the mascara (blue) are my colours but happy to post out if someone fancies it, first to PM me gets it!
Cheers

morning all
My hubby was rubbish with both the first two and denied ever wanting them despite begging me for another after DD, apparently it was all my own doing. He was fantastic in the early days this time but seems to have gotten bored of doing a bit extra round the house and started remembering how having a baby means he has to look after himself a bit more because I'm gonna be busy looking after the baby. Men are so selfish, I have no sympathy, he is an adult. This time I think he realises it won't be forever just the first year or so but he still keeps trying to plan things we can't do because there will be a baby here.
Well we'll be off in a bit so good luck to anyone due this week, quick and painfree labour vibes for all those in need and I hope everyone having problems with the hospital gets it sorted this week xxx0 -

Not usually. But the popping back in is much less of a faff than lots of creams etcMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Re: stick out bellybuttons! I used to stick a plaster over mine!
- oh my god, i can imagine how sore that must be pulling it off! ouch.:j0 -
I'm glad it's not just my DH who can be like that. My DH is not an easy person, I do love him to bits etc but he's a bit like most geniuses - a bit unstable perhaps?! Too clever for his own good. This kind of thing comes up from time to time and it doesn't get to me like it used to as I know that he doesn't mean it. However it's still hurtful. And I have told him there's only so much I will put up with. It's just quite hard as I'm quite isolated here, don't have many friends locally as I only moved here 2 years and a bit ago and I work far from home.
I went to bed at 10.30 in the end last night as I couldn't settle properly and fell asleep watching tv. Only just got up and despite 3 loo trips haven't slept too badly. Want to sort the baby's room out a bit today as I'm getting stressed that it is messy and I think it might be good for us to do that together.
dream - ouch, good luck getting the piles back in!
re births - I've hardly thought at all, been in denial I think. We need to go to the ante natal thing at the hospital, think it was around 30-34 weeks they wanted you to go, I am 31 today!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Quick question ladies (sorry if TMI)
I just went to the toilet and wiped and there is blood on the toilet paper but doesn't look mucously at all... rather just like "normal" bright red period blood. It's not heavy or anything though.
After everything I've heard, this doesn't sound like a show to me?
Bubs has been kicking away quite happily this morning, so I think he's ok and i'm not in pain at all?
Would you be concerned?
