Has anyone here had to have a stitch put in their cervix to help keep it closed?

I have vague recollections of Pigpen knowing something about it, but through my pregnancy fugg, I can't remember!!

    There's not much Pigpen doesn't know :rotfl::rotfl:

  • I know no one will love me anymore after this but I don't actually want this pregnancy to end. I love being pregnant. Although I did just try to give myself a C-Section on the door latch....oww.

I don't ache, i'm not swollen, I can walk. The only thing I'm not loving is the strech marks I've got

Ha! I felt like this until about a few days ago. All of a sudden lots of stretch marks have appeared, I can barely rotate my ankles they are so swollen, and my bump seems to have got so much bigger in just a few days, I can't do anything any more! I definitely just want my body back now (albeit a slightly modified one)!

    Hello everyone!

Haven't posted in ages but have been reading the thread several times a day. Just to update that I am still here and am booked in for an induction tomorrow.:( Induction was one of my worst nightmares but I'm trying not to get too upset about it but it's hard not to be anxious. I have to wait until 6pm tomorrow evening as well before going in so it's going to be a very long saturday!

Good luck! Can I ask how come they're inducing you after only 10 days??
Hiya ladies (and gents), I had my scan today and I am now ready to graduate to your thread! I am 13 wks 4 d today and am due on 31/1/11, although maybe a wee bit earlier than that, I go for a growth scan at 36 wks and depending on that I may have a C Section before then.

Still suffering the effects of the dreaded MS though!

Congratulations! and welcome. I had MS up until about 17/18 weeks but it got a lot better after 14 weeks. Hopefully you won't have to suffer much longer. :)

Had a nice day round at a friends with 2 little girls, been distracted all day so that's one more day down before we meet bubs! Can't believe tomorrow is my due date. Baby has a few hours longer to get its £250 rather than £50 Child Trust Fund ha!!

That's what I thought too Delain! :rotfl:

Got a 'probe sesion' with the hospital next Weds to have a looksie at my cervix. I may have to have a stitch having had LLETZ treatment last year for CIN 2/3.

If anyone has any experiences they could share, it would be most appreciated :D

Sorry MV no experience but I'm sure someone will be able to help.

I am in pjs already, really tired after long day at work. Got home to dh being in better mood but it didn't last long...I did some small thing that irritated him and he was all for leaving me!! We have got to the bottom of it which is that he doesn't think he'll be a good dad and thinks I'd be better without him. I thought I was supposed to be the hormonal one?! Think all is ok now but i feel emotionally exhausted. I'm just hoping for a more chilled weekend as I can't cope with more of this!

I have generally felt ok in pregnancy, overwhelmingly tired a lot and my hips have been painful - I'm now just feeling like a big fat, slow blob! Thankfully emotionally I've been pretty stable!

That's standard where I am. Bit daft if you ask me as I have no problems and haven't had any throughout my pregnancy, but hey ho:cool:

You don't HAVE to be induced just becuse it's their policy though... You can hang out as long as you feel you want to... :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Yeah I know I can't be forced into having an induction but I do want this all to be over now too and if I didn't go in tomorrow I would probably regret it and wish I had just got it over and done with. Plus my OH is going absolutely potty waiting, you'd think it was him having to give birth! :rotfl:
