Thanks to all who have posted their lists. I am packing/buying lots more (as in multiples, not secret items :rotfl::rotfl: ) than most, as parents will have DD so will only have doula and cannot get her to get loads of stuff.......in laws not involved, and we know how useful KH is likely to be.....can't trust he won't be drunk :o

Have now made my "need to buy" list and "hosp bag" lists and am pleased to see I have accidentally bought most of it without realising :rotfl:

    socks
    Tens machine
    Arnica
    Tootbrush/paste
    Hairbrush
    Shower gel
    Flannel
Little make up samples (foundation etc)
    Deodorant
    Lip balm
    Camera
    Book
    Lucozade
    Snacks
    T-shirt for DH

    3 x sleepsuits + vests
    hat
    scratch mitts
    cardigan

    nappies
    wipes

I'm actually going to pack it all properly today:eek: So if I add anything else I'll add it to the above list:)

EDIT: Just a reminder that if you're on any medication/have asthma etc remember tablets and inhaler. I always have my medication and inhaler in my handbag which will be with me anyway. In fact I have everything but the kitchen sink in my handbag so I'll be ok with just that ;)

TNV it could have been a burst blood vessel it can happen when your cervix starts to dilate so you may pop soon. Keep an eye on it and if it starts again or you get anymore pain insist that they take a look at you. Dont sit there worrying if they try and fob you off then just go down there and make a fuss. :-) x

    hey ladies

cheers for your lists im putting together my bag this week so they are mega handy! although im sure il still forget something! is anyone going to use disposable pants? i was thinking of just buying a few of primarks multipack "granny" ones. would they do? also for the pads i heard tescos value sanitary towels are just the same as the maternity ones? is this true? im really not looking forward to the bleeding afterwards, i was just thinking the other day how brilliant it was not having periods :(
