My holiday runs april till end of march so I'll still want time off after maternity next year, this years will be used up before I go, I only have 1 week left to take so have half term off on holiday then I'm on maternity. I considering not starting my coursework till I go back after maternity but I need to speak to the company that run the course, its NVQ and I need the pharmacist to be signing off as a witness to what I'm doing but because I work the evenings I'm mostly working with locums, who could still sign off on it but are not so supportive. I don't work with either of the regular pharmacists next week then I'm on holiday for 2 weeks, I just don't think it'll all get done in time.
My old next door neighbour used to make the fake babies, she sold them for a small fortune on ebay. She was house bound due to bowel cancer and needing to be near the toilet but often feeling ok so wanted something to do to keep busy. Her husband built her a summer house/workshop studio in the back garden so it felt a bit more like going to work in the morning and she could leave it behind in the evening. They really did look real. Lovely couple though, would always watch the little ones if we were stuck. They thought it was mad the amount people paid for the babies and it was just a hobby to make them really.
smartie well done getting the surestart grant. I'm gonna apply after little one is born but I doubt we will get it. Currently on £24 per month tax credits because OH did too much overtime last year. I didn't apply for it with either of the other two but I think I should have especially after DD was born. We did get housing benefit for a little while but I was a sahm then and OH was working for the agency so he is on more now, funny how you never feel better off even when the income increases, sometimes worse off somehow.
I have the midwives mobile number but was advised she would only ever answer if she was on that day and not currently with anybody so highly unlikely and also there is no answer phone service on it. However the message system at the local hospital is picked up everyday so if its not urgent you should hear back that evening from whoever is on duty. More urgent and its ring the hospital. Pigpen I think it is fair to say most of us (or all) would have been checked out by now in your situation, I know you are scared and busy but please make sure everything is ok, it has been going on a while now. What does OH think? Even if its a wasted trip to leeds, it would put your minds at ease x0 -

Agreed, especially the ones in car parks, they are the worst. I can't go over them in the early days because it makes me heave over each one and if my hubby does not drive really slowly on the way home after my c-section this time I think I might kill him. He doesn't seem to get that 3 days after a c-section roundabouts need to be taken in first gear if you're turning right.0 -
I find the speed bumps on the way to my son's nursery painful just now too. Especially when hubby is driving, he doesn't go over them slowly and if I have had aching hips/back it is really sore! but I just grit my teeth as there are not many and they are only on the way there and not the way back. But he has the cheek to moan that my driving makes him feel ill at times!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Re annual leave our regulations state we have take our leave before we go off on maternity and have to take accrued B/Hs as soon as we get back. I am taking 19 days annual leave before I start as have quite a generous leave and had 9 days from last year.
Waiting at home for a couple of deliveries and getting annoyed with next door neighbour who is playing music loud and all you can hear is the bass, is annoying because is the nephew of the lady who lives there and have a feeling he will be staying there over the summer hols when I am off and playing music when I'm trying to relax!! Anyway I'll hopefully get them back with a screaming baby soon - hehehe!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

I didn't get anything from M&S sale I only saw one sweet little jacket and it wasn't worth just buying one thing online, we don;t know the flavour so it's hard to get stuff. Might check out our local shop tomorrow to see if it's in there.
I'm waiting on the Asda baby event to stock up on nipple cream and maternity pads. Does anyone know if they include clothes in this too?
OH has just texted me - we're going to see the house tonight (it's nearly done, if you want to see pics of the extension pm me your real name so I can Facebook you) then fish and chips then DVD in bed. yayyyys! :jBellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
sir monster - my neighbour has been playing annoying bollywood music all aft (and was playing it at 11 last night too), though bass sounds worse!
budgetblonde - I didn't really see much at M&S either as there's not much neutral and even the lemon stuff looked v girly...I only really saw the little green jacket!
I feel pretty rotten which my friend tells me is normal after a GTT. Gonna knock off work at 4 and maybe take tomorrow off sick if I don't feel any better.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
did you eat straight afterwards rach? I find I'm normally ok if I eat quite alot straight after, otherwise I get a bit shakey. I'm not keen on lucozade either and it is alot they make you drink.
I saw a green jacket but thought it was a bit boys. The only other thing was a pramsuit but it was out of stock already. If its a girl I've got one though so I'm best off waiting till after scan I suppose. Stupid ebay and nearly new sales, have sold so many baby clothes.0 -
