I would speak directly to HR and let them know what has happened and why their internal form is late. I believe they will be skating on very thin ice if they refuse his leave or pay if the manager was made aware of what your partner intended within the correct time scales.
Just reread your post did the government form get handed in in plenty of time if so they cant refuse fullstop legislation states he just has to provide written notice not what form that notice should take :-)
No the goverment one wasn't handed in before 25 weeks as after many conversations before this time he didn't realise/was never told he had to.
Management are crap about paperwork, forms... in fact everything!!
To be honest DH isn't bothered about it all as he's going to have the time off whether they like it or not;) I'm just in my "well they should be doing things properly" frame of mind just for the sake of it!:o:rotfl:
delain.. I'm always feeling dizzy and faint. Sometimes I can't even stand to clean my teeth:eek: I carry an emergency mars bar in my bag for when I'm out.
I need to go out now but it's peeing it down and I'll slip in my flip flops! I need to get change for hospital tomorrow... and a few crappy mags to take as I know I'll end up sitting round for ages.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Ooops, accidentally nearly had my baby last night :rotfl::eek:! After being constipated for ages things, er, eased, contractions totally unlike BHs every 10 mins waking me up whenever I managed to have a snooze all night and needing the loo aaaaall the time. Head was engaged too (had a routine mw appt yesterday morning) so after over 10 hours of regular contractions I went in to delivery suite where everything flaming stopped! Grrr, blimmin' typical! Quite glad to not have had the baby as still a little bit early but AT LAST hubby realises how unprepared we are :T:T:T. He's gonna read some pg books in a bit and actually listened when I dictated a list of things the baby still needed.
Due to having had no sleep, I had to take the day off work - the fnial day I can do this without employer automatically being able trigger ML (as in, I'm 35+6) and two days before I'm due to go anyway
That's one clever baby to manage all that!:rotfl:
ETA: Oh, silly baby though has managed to disengage head and is now breech! Ah, well, can't have everythingUpdating soon...0 -
Congrats Sammy, worth the wait eh?!
Last time around Hubby's manager was off sick when it came to sorting his paternity pay (company only offer government basic so a slight drop) and for 3 months he kept expecting to get a short pay slip... Until he asked when it was going in... Turned out the relief manager didn't hand in the form on time and they couldn't do it after the fact so he ended up with 2 weeks off full payA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Courgette what a fright, hopefully kicked your DH into action.
I am too hot is 25 degrees in our living room, is so humid and stuffy here. Delain I feel dizzy a lot too but not sure whether that is to do with the heat.
Went to big Boots today, lot of their mini mode stuff is on offer: got a soft rattle, comforter, socks, scratch mits and booties all for a quid each!
Think may go to aqua aerobics to cool off this evening and will be doing a rain dance.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

Congratulations to sammy
Had a flying ant infestation in my office had a few yesterday and more today had to use the secret bug spray as we are not allowed any, as its school hols only one in my building anyway, gave it a good spray before leaving felt like I was splatting them all day though - yuck.
Just made dinner - left over pie which is basically sliced up roast pork from sunday lunch, onions, mushrooms, chopped rasher bacon and 1/2 tin beans topped with mash (leftovers out of fridge), will add cheese on top and oven bake it for 45mins.
only 3 more days of work hooray0 -
Aaaagh! I cannot believe it! I have been checking for well over a year for a job to come up that I really wanted to do and it seemed to come up at every location except mine! I had applied previously, January last year to one which was a bit further away and they were keen to interview etc but they said that I needed to have a vacancy at my local hospital as the job needed me to be only 10/15 mins away at most.
checked today and it is advertised for my area at the local hospital! I could just cry because there is no way at all that they will want a 30 week pregnant woman turning up for interview especially as I am already on maternity leave!:(:(:(
this is what i wanted to do - http://www.workingmums.co.uk/mums/jobs/1122491/casual-bounty-maternity-ward-assistant-photographerdistributor-northampton-general-hospital.thtmlBSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
