Think I have been having 'false starts' as I get agonising back pain, followed by regular contractions where I cant sit/ stand/ anything I just have to keep moving. And then it stops!! Its a right pain! I spose I will know when its happening for real

Bubs did that to me for about 4 days before he made his mind up to come out. I found sitting on my ball bouncing helped as i was sitting but still able to move. I have to say the false starts were no different to the actual labour pains they just kept stopping so it was a case of waiting it out until they stuck around. keeping moving is probably the best thing you can do to encourage labour to establish. Fingers crossed your not like it for weeks and it all happens soon for you :-)

It was too warm for me last night too, we only have the actual duvet cover on the bed - no duvet - but my OH gets really warm when he sleeps so that I can't stand him trying to hug me in the morning when waking up. Sounds awful but he just makes me feel all hot and sticky even though he is trying to be affectionate. and I feel bad because I am pushing him away. Hate it when its too hot at night!

Kitkat - I too have no idea what's supposed to happen etc even though this is my 2nd:o Having been induced with DS I have no idea about shows and stuff! Thankgoodness for this thread;):D

    Stupid wee and pains:mad:

And stupid DH's work:mad: Paternity leave - he told them well before the 25 week mark that we were expecting and all manager said at the time was to give them the due date. DH asked several times what he was supposed to do.

A few weeks ago manager then told him he's supposed to get a form from tax office!!! Downloaded such form and handed it in.

Now today he's been given a company form to fill in that needs to be sent to head office!!! Bear in mind we are now way past the 25 week mark that this was supposed to all be done by:mad:

DH was never told about all these forms before 25 weeks so it's not his fault! Stupid manager... and to make things worse he's just recently had a baby. DH will take 2 weeks paternity off regardless of whether he's allowed it or not. It will just have to be on sick pay.

    Rant over.

Thanks Xmas, I have found my gym ball very handy, even discovered my OH bouncing on it last night which was funny! It seems to be the only thing that eases the aches/ pain. I hope I am not like this for weeks, I want the baby to come soonish, but I kinda wana work my last 2 weeks of work :) my work have even asked me if I could work a further week.. not sure about working when I am 39 weeks as I keep getting twinges now at work and have to spawl myself across the desk (its all I can think to do to help!!) it would be lovely if I could have the baby this weekend though :) would mean one less week of work and I wouldnt have to show my replacements what to do (sorry I know this is cruel but I really cannot be !!!!!d!!!)

Hope the pain eases for you Xmas, it could be as you said that your body is still not fully recovered from your last pregnancy. Is your little boy excited to know that he will have a little sis?

Kitkat The too older ones are i dont think bubs quite understands what is going on he always smiles when we mention a little sister but then he smiles at most things with the words brother or sister in the sentence as he adores Lolly and Ben.

Smartie he doesnt legally have to give them any kind of form (the government one just makes it a bit easier) he just has to notify them of his intention to take paternity leave before the 15th wk before baby is due. I would speak directly to HR and let them know what has happened and why their internal form is late. I believe they will be skating on very thin ice if they refuse his leave or pay if the manager was made aware of what your partner intended within the correct time scales.

Just reread your post did the government form get handed in in plenty of time if so they cant refuse fullstop legislation states he just has to provide written notice not what form that notice should take :-)

My OH has told work he's taking it. Didn't ask, told. I think they let him rule the roost a bit, the supervisors are all a bit wishy washy and retiring next yer so don't really care anymore :rotfl:

Well I've booked DD1's party venue, and wrapped up the presents I so far have (is it wrong to be glad the party is the day before and she will have the stuff from her friends so I don't need to buy so much? :o) and I went in to get DD1 a party dress to wrap up and could I find one? no. M&co has strapless short dresses in size 7- 8   Am I the only person who doesn't think that's quite right??

Anyway even if I liked them I couldn't get her one as she's tall and skinny so 8 - 9 would fall down and 7-8 would look like a t shirt :rotfl: So no dress then. Have to keep looking. I did get a bargain cardi for little monster though, £7 down from £11. OH will hate it but hey ho. He doesn't come on school runs anyway :D

Now I just need to do some housework :o

Has anyone else been feeling dizzy and faint? I was really struggling this morning!

I went into costa coffee, we usually do this on a tuesday, it's my one vice lol only have a small latte but the last couple of weeks it's made me feel really odd afterwards. Might have to have the iced drinks next time!
