Urgh, rant alert...
Had my 20 week NHS scan today (but I was actually 21 weeks today) and it was a bit of a disaster. Wanted to know flavour but baby had its legs crossed at the knee when she looked.
Also paid £2.50 for a photo and I'm sorry but I want my money back! Will scan it in tomorrow so you can see how bad it is. My 13 week picture is miles and miles better! I can't believe she took the money off me...
On the paper slip they give you it said at the bottom that the scan was "technically difficult" due to baby positioning and 'body habitus' (meaning stomach fat). Not sure why it was OK at 13w then as i haven't put on any weight yet!
Katy, I can symphaphise with you re: scan pics, I have the same thing happen. My 12 week scan was a really good picture, and the sonographer actually gave us 8 pics altogether
for £5. Then the 20 week scan I paid £5 and the sonographer took a terrible picture zoomed into a section of the babys head, you cannot make out a thing!! I've not bothered scanning/ showing mine to anyone as its so terrible, you would think they would offer a redund?!
